I was told that there is a clone of raptor that was built in 1996 in Japan? I think the name was Orochi or something. Is this true?
Here are some photos of the coaster:

Thank you Disney, thank you...
I never knew that..

Wow. B&M obviously made Orichi right? That's really weird that it didn't get out till now.
I thought that Cedar Point's Coasters were all theres and there was a copyright thing. It kinda upsets me that B&M couldn't come up with a new design. It another Sixflags thing, No new design, cheaper cost.
What difference does it make, honestly? This isn't new news.

Exactly, it's been known for a while now. We at least for me too. I don't like how it's all white though, don't know why?

I believe there is a clone of Montu as well. I may be wrong on this but isn't Pyrenees in Japan a clone of Montu?

Yeah, what Jeff said.. Does it really matter? Orichi is a taller too... Meh...
No, there is no clone of Montu anywhere in the world. Montu is an original layout with seven inversions, STILL the most on any inverted coaster. Pyrenees is also an original design. It contains six inversions, with five coming before the block brake. Order of elements go:
1. Right handed 180º drop
2. Vertical loop
3. Right handed heartline spin
4. Vertical loop
5. Cobra Roll
6. Clockwise upward helix
7. Block brakes
8. Flatspin
9. 180º left hand turn
10.Bunny hop
11. Right handed 180º turn.
This looks like a damn good inverted coaster!

Is it like people are going to be sitting there going:
" Hey this Raptor thing at Cedar Point looks great, BUT WAIT look at this thing in Japan! Forget CP I'm going to Japan."
No, not a person in the world. So just forget it.
Thanks for clearing that up Legendary. I thought you would know, since I know Montu is your fav. invert.

Well, to you it might be old news. But to others, this is new news. :)

According to that link, they are identical coasters with identical stats: 3,790 feet long, 137 feet high.
Jman
They are exact clones... if one is "taller" it's because they have different marketing teams. One might be on higher dirt (who knows). They are exact clones, just like all of the BTR's are exact clones, even Great White at SWT.
About the "who cares" comments. I think the original post was meant to make it aware to people who may not have known. I know I like knowing things like this. If it doesn't make much difference to you, don't post an inflammatory remark, just mark thread read and move on.

well who cares if its cloned its not like any of us will get to japan to ride it i could see it being a big deal if it was at like say SFO or PKI but is japan
It's knowledge. Now, if someone asks you "hey, has Raptor ever been cloned?" you can say, "Why, yes, it has. There's one in Japan." It may not be that important, but now you know, and knowing is half the battle. :P

I didn't mean to start a fight! Geez! I just thought that it was odd that a Cedar Point Coaster has been recreated.
