Rain/Storms at CP

I am going to cedar point sauturday. Although I have been to cedar point almost 8 times, I've never been there when it has rained or stormed. What are the guidlines there for shutting down coasters? Thanks!

I found this in the FAQ section....decided to share with everyone. Got a nice laugh out of it.

 Fact or Fiction?

Contrary to popular belief, the Magnum XL-200 is not sinking and it is not being sold. It's speculated that the rumors originated from an April Fools Day spoof. An Ohio newspaper printed the falsehoods as part of a joke that snowballed and has escalated with the arrival of the internet.

LOL!!

To keep it quick, generally everything will operate during rain, but tall steel coasters will be closed if there is lightning spotted. Disaster Transport mat close if the tubes get wet inside.

My other car is a Giovanola!
I would not worry about them closing early on a Saturday.

This spring it was nothing but rain while we were there and I loved it. Most the people there had to be in line for MF. For two days we walked on all the other rides. It had even cleared up by lunch on both days but people never showed. The forecasts for the whole week were very dim, we had no business showing up but we got lucky. There was some light hail with the storms, and even MF was open through it. The only ride that wasn't open was DT.
