Rail Blazer Question

I was always fascinated with the whole Rail Blazer experiment. Until a few years ago, I had always assumed it was its own ride, rather than one side of RKMT converted. It's a shame there aren't more pictures of Extremeroller and Rail Blazer on the web. If I'm not mistaken, the Rail Blazer accident actually occurred on the ride's media day.

Pictures of Rail Blazer here. Click on the "Rail Blazer and Jet Scream" link on the left. Once you see the picture of people in the train, you can get an idea of how someone could come out. Confining B&M trains these weren't.

I doubt the accident happened on the media day since few of the GP were probably riding that day. The woman who died and the man who rode next to here were GPers, not enthusiasts or media.
Sniff :( I miss the Jet Scream. Twas my first looping coaster. I still need to get down to Houston to visit my old friend again. I'd take it back in a heartbeat over Ninja!

Yeah is Good!
Jet Scream was an excellent little coaster no doubt! I can remember as if it were only yesterday when they replaced it with Ninja. Of course, Ninja (for it's time) was pretty kick-ass. Too bad it's gone by the wayside along with our old friend JS.

I'm in the same boat as Olsor. I always thought that RB was a totally new ride added to the park and not a "mirror" of the original mine train ride. I do remember the other mine train ride was far better than the one that remains at the park. It just seemed to pack so much more of a punch.

Check out the logos for [Screamin'] Demon and The Bat at Kings Island. Isn't it nice to know that parks used to put some thought into their rides? *** Edited 7/9/2005 2:53:30 PM UTC by CoasterKrazy***
