Quit Complaining

I'm an X-Flight ride op and have read many posts and trip reports of how we are so slow and goof off all the time. The reason we are so slow is because people don't take off their glasses, hats, fanny packs, etc. until we get to checking their restraint and tell them to take the item(s) off. And we don't goof around all the time, excuse us for having a good time at our job. So, quit complaining and if you don't like the way we operate the ride, DON'T RIDE IT.

I think you guys do a great job ! I work with customers my self and they can be a pain !
Don't let some of the folks here get you down, they ain't happy unless they are complaining !

I agree with you. People can't wait 10 minutes or whenever to dispatch the train.

True, some are not happy unless they are complaining. Also, I believe it is situational, and that park loyality / competition comes into it.

I have this suspicion if you have two crews who are working the exact same way... one at SFWoA and one at another Ohio park (which shall remain nameless), there are certain members of ths forum who would say the SFWoA crew is "slow and goofing off" while the crew at the other Ohio park is "cautious, attentive, and enjoying their work."

Having not been to SFWoA, I can not make a judgement on the performance of the crews, however, reading this board and seeing the shots traded in the great Ohio park wars, I can see that there are those who do not look at SFWoA with a very objective point of view.

I'm a ride op, and I get customers that are a pain all of the time!
From what I have read, people aren't complaing as much about the ride operators as they are about how poorly the station, trains, and harnesses are designed. A one train operation (?) on a coaster with a slow loading procedure is a nightmare. Six Flags needs to find a way to remedy this problem - even it means doubling the number of operators. And from what you said, it seems like they need an operator instructing people to remove any "glasses, hats, fanny packs, etc." before they are getting onto the ride.

When I was there July 19, I thought they loaded very efficiently. A ride-op was sitting in the que line making sure things didn't get out of hand. I think the double station was very well thought out, as well as the harnesses. To support your entire body, there could have been much more than two harnesses to set. There were two people per side of train helping everyone get adjusted. And yes, people tried to bring their items on the ride.

I must commend the ride-ops on this ride. They ran two trains quite well.

People were working on the third train the entire time I was waiting, too.

I have never seen anything as horrific as the loading times on the X-Flight at SFwoa. You people are having too much of a good time, you should be foremost concerned with safety, then dispatch times on the train. The longer it takes for the X-Flight team to load a train, the longer the paying patrons that pay for your pay check wait in a line, especially when there is no reason for it. It is not only you guys but every single ride at SFwoa where they have poor loading times. This is the park managements fault! It rolls top down. Having 2-3 more ride ops per ride would greatly increase the ride capacity of your rides.

well, if you don't want to wait in the line, buy a fast pass.

Question for you, have you ever run 3 trains at the same time, if so when and how often has that happened
That is not the ride-ops fault, Just Coasting! That is a problem with the train itself that Vekoma is currently correcting. And for a brand-new ride, especially one as unique as X-Flight, I am pleased that my wait was under 2 hours.

no we have not. It's up to management to decide the number of trains we run but all three are in working order.

Why do you care what other people think? If you know you guys are doing a good job, then thats all that counts..Also, I do commend you guys, cause your the only ride-ops at WoA that looked happy to be at work.

Why should I have pay $10.00 because you guys are slow. Anyhow, I did that and still waited 25 minutes.

It's not our fault it takes so long to load the ride. We have people who try to wear flip flop sandles on the ride and refuse to take them off and since we don't want to injure people in line, we can't dispatch the train until they do. This is the the ride policy.

There you have it everyone, straight from a SFwoa employee, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure can run 3 trains if they want to, but they don't. The reason they do this is so you have to buy the fast pass to ride their rides. It is their way of milking you out of $10.00. This is wrong. Or stand in the heat for 1-1/2 hours long. Have fun everyone going there!

Okay we need to calm down a little.

In Defense to the ride op, people are a big factor in the operation of a coaster.

In Offense, if people are complaining about how bad you are then take it and better yourself. I don't think a group of people would just plan to diss a team of ride ops. Obviously there is something wrong.

Here is a solution, put a ride op in the front of the line telling people they cannot board unless they put their packs and things in a locker. As for hats, sun glasses, I'm sure the ride ops can take care of that

if you don't like it don't ride! well there is something called paying your 40 bucks! not to mention an xtra 10 for fast pass and what ever happen to the customer is right? - there is definitely a problem with the kids that they have working at SFWOA but what ya expect it's all over, you riders better do like I do check ya on stuff
