Coney Island (Cincinnati) ride operator
the queues I disliked the most were at PKI, though. Not having ANY clue how long the line was with SOB, Beast, Top Gun and the water ride way in the back. We walked what seemed like a relatively long distance to get to the log ride (don't really know because we didn't GET to it) only to find out from "regulars" that the end of the line was actually more than an hour wait. Fergit THAT! I want at least a GENERAL idea how long the wait is before I get into line.

The queue for S:ROS at SFDL is pretty bad though. I assume it's the same as the one at SFA. Another bad queue would have to be Viper at SFGAdv. It's SO long.
The S:ROS queues are not the same.
Viper's queue isn't terribly long at all, I felt. In fact, it was shortened considerably with the addition of Rodeo Stampede, the park's neutered Huss Breakdance.

How about Roadrunner Express at SFFT? That queue is so frikki'n long, it's unbeleivable. Has that EVER been full? Same with Rattler, that LONG set of back & forth ramps, it takes forever to walk up those when they are empty. Have they ever heard of stairs? (yeah, I know, the exit ramp is stairs)

My favorite designed queue at SFMM has to be Viper. 3 lines from the start of the queue house all the way upstairs. One thing that could help people not familiar with the ride would be signs saying back, middle, front for those not familiar with the ride. I think the design of the queue makes it so the line seems to constantly move.
I also like what they did with the X queue. I think they could have done something different with the split point, but its still ok. Its funny how the wait still gets to be so long even with the switchbacks closed.
I think the worst one has to be Superman: The Escape. You are either outside in the heat or inside in the heat. Back when it first opened they had the nice ice cold air on with the fog and the lights down low. Now you get none of that. Most of the time they have to leave the emergency exit door open to let some air in the place. Also they have stopped having a person regulate how many people they let into the building at a time.

I don't understand why all stations aren't designed like S:RoS SFNE's. I think it's pretty much the perfect station (although I don't think 1:2 should be in the devoted "front row" line). The entrance is in the middle of the train. There're roomy devoted queues for first car and last car which can be judged from the split. I guess if the exit were closer to the middle of the train rather than the front, and didn't have that silly gate in the way, clearing out the unload platform would be a lot easier, but now I'm just getting greedy. This actually does lead to the fact that (when I was there last, this spring) the op has to hold the airgates for quite a while after the passengers are out of their seats, presumably to prevent poaching.
I also like how part of the queue shapes out the Superman logo.

I love the station/queue for that ride. It's amazing. The back is like the front. If you go to get the back seat, you're actually headed to the back TWO rows.
BTW, you didn't really need to quote the post to make your point.

Perhaps I'll just say that Diablo falls has got one of the worst flat ride queues I've ever seen, since Penguin's blizzard river & Diablo falls are one in the same I'd assume their queue's are the same as well.
I doubt their queues are the same, as SF uses Tornado's old queue, which is quite a weird design itself.

What does it matter? That's more bandwidth that Jeff has to pay for, and it's against the TOS.

In fact, on empty days it is HORRIBLE to spend a few minutes walking throught the cattle gates, and on busy days it is horrible because you feel like, well, cattle. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
I'd like to mention that Marine World designs their own queue lines and they havn't mastered the art quite yet, although I thought they were getting close with V2...
