Questions for a school project

I am currently doing a school project about roller coasters, and I need to "interview" at least one person about the topic. Jeff suggested that I bring my questions out to you people, so here they are.

There are several requirements, so please make sure you can follow them before you post:
-I need you to answer every question
-You need to provide your last name
-You need to provide a current email address incase I need to further contact you.

Here are the questions:

1) How are coasters inspected, and what do the inspectors look for?

2)On modern rides, what is the computer system like, and how does it ensure passenger safety?

3)How are coasters tested for safety and forces before humans ride them?

4)How are older coasters (Kennywood Racer, Blue Streak, etc.) kept in such good condition?

5)What does the park need to consider before getting a new ride constructed?

6)How does the park go about working with a company to develop a new coaster?

7)What occurs during the off-season pertaining to the rides?

Thanks in advance.

Here are the questions:

1) How are coasters inspected, and what do the inspectors look for?

inspectors look at all aspects of a coaster. they check the wheel assemblies and the restraints. thats all i know

2)On modern rides, what is the computer system like, and how does it ensure passenger safety?

The computer system is desgined by Consign AG and uses the lock system. usually the blocks are seperated byt brake runs, lift hills and the station. It wont let antoher train into that section of tack unless the other train clears it.

3)How are coasters tested for safety and forces before humans ride them?

First they are tested. Then they put water dummies in the seats and test them. Again that is all i know.

4)How are older coasters (Kennywood Racer, Blue Streak, etc.) kept in such good condition?

Older coasters are kept up[ in such good shape becauseof the excellent matinence workers that the park has.

5)What does the park need to consider before getting a new ride constructed?

The publics reaction(normally good) cost, what company to buy it from. and if the town will let them build.

6)How does the park go about working with a company to develop a new coaster?

They tell a company what they want, the company designs it to fit the parks needs.

7)What occurs during the off-season pertaining to the rides?

All ride cars and trians are taken apart and throughly inspected and any problems are fixed. Whels are replaced. and cracks in the car are fixed.

Thanks in advance.
