Questions about SFGaM

Hi all. I have a few questions about Deja Vu, and V2. First off, I am around 6'5 or so, would I be able to ride Deja Vu, or will I be too tall? The only time I was able to go last year to ride it, Deja was close because it was too cold. I hope I will not be dissapointed on the 4th. Also, have they worked out all the bugs on V2? Is it up, and running consantly? Thanks for the help.

Make sure you slouch, because I believe 6'4 is the cutoff...
I heard that V2 is running ok with a few breakdowns, but I really dont know. Does anybody know how Deja Vu is running? Monument or Coaster lately?

I believe the max height on Deja Vu is 6'4, so I don't think you'll be able to go on it. I'm 6'2 now, and I'm still growing, so I'm probably not gonna be able to go on it in a few years.

Bolth are up and running fine Deja Vu will not run first thing in the morning they will test run it till the sun heats it up.V2 should run right as the park opens. Im not sure on the height issue but like JoNo said you could slouch?

I just checked the SFGAm website and the cutoff is indeed 6'4".

The cutoff is definitely 6'4", but I've never actually seen them check anyone's height for being too tall. If you really want to ride, it may be worth a try. I'm 6'4" and never had a problem; nobody even looked concerned with it.

When I went on Deja VU last year there was a guy checking people's heights. I am about 6'2" and he pulled me aside and checked my height. He then turned towards the line and said that if anyone was taller than me that they probably would not be able to ride. I just wanted to let you know that they do check, maybe not at all times though. You should still make an attempt to ride this thing though.

I'm 6'6" and had no trouble riding Deja Vu at all. The first time I rode, I pulled my knees up the whole time, but I quickly found that it wasn't neccessary. The only time I got anywhere close was on the support of the first lift, and even then I was a foot or more from touching - so there's no danger of getting your feet chopped off. The funny thing about height limits is that they don't automatically apply to everyone. My legs really aren't that long, I'm tall from the waist up.

Good luck, and enjoy the ride!

I don't know, it would really suck to wait over an hour and then be told you couldn't ride it in the station.

Why the heck did they design it so those over 6'3" can't ride?

Deja Vu was running yesterday, Friday the 26th. It was about 50 degrees and it ran good all night. Today it didn't run at all. Neither did V2. But V2 ran until about 9 on Friday. Not sure all the bugs are worked out. It'll be interesting to see if they both run on the 4th. Deja Vu is dependent on the weather, and V2 if they fixed and figured out the computer after the fire.

K-town Coaster, have you heard that people who know don't tell. I think that 'fire' on V2 is something the GP is not supposed to know about. To keep your sources, you should keep your mouth shut. Not to mention, not many people belive things like this, though, I'll admit, I'm sure some are true.

Less than 2 weeks until SFGAm opens!

Well, might as well let us in on the fire theory. When did it happen, why, etc.

Also, let's remember this thing wasn't exactly a pillar of consistency before it went down permanently last year.

Its K-Town Coaster's choice if he wants to tell stuff, I wouldn't worry about it TrBiggar. At least hes not one of those people who just says that he knows and puts a smiley face.

Ok what happened with this computer fire?? Someone PLEASE Let me know...*begging*. I rode it in June and on Labor Day and it seemed to work fine. I don't ever even recalling hearing about it being broken down permanently for that last part of the season. I'm a little in the dark on this if someone could please tell me. :-D

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

It was down basically the last half of September and the entire month of October.

Hey, if you want to harp on what I say thats fine. But don't go telling me what I should and should not do. I run the risks and you obviously don't give a @#$% what I say, so buzz off. And just for you........

Hey!

Yeow is my word! :) lol Well, it's not really mine, but you all should know the story behind it by now.
