Questions about CP and SF:WOA

I am going to CP & SFWOA this summer and I am wondering if Wicked Twister will be up by July 20th. I am going then and I am also wondering what rides I should hit first at both of these parks. I only have one day at SFWOA but i have 2 at CP. Thanks for all your guys help.

Wicked Twister will open May 5th, 2002, so don't worry about it. As to riding which rides first, I'd check back later in the season to see how the parks are running them selves.

I always try to make it a habit to get to shuttle coasters and other low-capacity rides first, then try to hit water rides before it gets hot and the lines get long...basically, do everything when no one else is doing it...especially meals!

Hey Newbie,

I have been both to parks several times, livign 2 minutes away from WoA and 2 hours from CP.

CP- I make a run to Wicked Twister. Because it is it's first year opening at will be packed most of the time. SO i would try to get a good spot in line for it. Second if you dont want to do that I'd join in on " the running of the bulls" if you know what that is. Get there and stand in line for the gates to open. When it opens run for your life to Millenium, for the same reason. After this i would head right to Mantis (if did Millenium ) because it is right there. If you go to Wicked first, go to Magnum for the same reason. I would try to spread out the day pretty good though, becuase you dont want all the fun spent at once. There sure is a lot of fun and exciting things to see.

SFWoA- This is a very good park and is very unratted. There is 10 wonderful coasters here. I start with either Xflight or Batman Knight flight. Because those are the two most popular and crowded coasters. If you go to Xflight, stay on that side of the park and enjoy superman, mind eraser and big dipper. After that i would head to the water park. If you go to BKF stay around there and go on the villian, raging wolf bobs, both farley good woodies, then go serial thriller a very head baggin suspended. Enjoy the park and be sure to put your time in trip reports. HAVE FUN!

If Millennium Force is your favorite coaster, why can't you even spell it right?

Ok. I did the same thing as you last summer; I went to SF:WOA from CP. Some words of advice when going to SF- make sure you park on the rides side if you plan on being the first one on the rides. We followed the signs for the park only to find out that, while waiting for the park to open, we were on the wild life side, so we couldn't beat the lines for x-flight.
Don't worry about what to hit, when, etc. 2 days at Cedar Point is PLENTY to hit everything multiple times (unless you go on a crowded weekend, but in that case you should still get to ride everything). As far as Six Flags, it's a crapshoot as to how crowded it will be, how fast the lines will be moving, etc., but I still wouldn't worry about what to ride first. Just go and have a good time, and ride what you feel like riding. There's no science to this like everyone seems to think.

Oh don't worry BGCPFAN, I don't have anystandards for total strangers. And If you took my comment the wrong way, well then I'm not sorry about that because I myself mispelled Millennium Force in a big way: My old CoasterBuzz name was "Millenium Force Man." Needless to say, that name only lasted 1 day before I realized what I had done. On a side note, the switch to Zero-G was a good move, I think.

SFWoA- This is a very good park and is very unratted.

The way al lot of people talk about SFWoA, it makes you think there are rats all over the park. I haven't seen any myself, but the giant carp are kind of like Lake Rats.

Uhh so, SF:WOA is underrated?

I have been to both parks. I will again be visiting Six Flags WOA and Cedar Point during my coaster trip. Cedar Point is a traditional visit and a must for me every year I have been going out to the park for about 6years now. Also looking foward to coastermainia 1st club event ;).

Six Flags Woa when I first visited the park realy nice. Batman Knight Flight and X Flight are well worth a drive not to mention The Villian aslo and they do have a good selection of rollercoasters to choose from. I will be going to Six Flags WoA before I hit coastermainia on June 6th my 2nd visit.

Cedar Point: If it is your first time. Go straight to Millennium Force you wont be dissapointed it is the king of all steel coasters. Ride front row during day and experince the force at night its a one of a kind experince make sure you also sit in the back it will realy feel like you will be tossed into Sandusky Bay ;). Lines at Cedar Point dont realy bother me any more because I'm so use to the lines at Cedar Point. Wicked Twister is guranteed to open on May 5th like it says on the web site.

So go to both parks you will enjoy them. If your also in Ohio and if you have time why dont you make a trip down to Paramounts Kings Island one of my other favorite parks.

I DO kinda agree that SFWoA, based on my LIMITED experince, gets WAY more abuse than its due...granted, you can expect SF "guest" "relations" to be poor, but the RIDES are really good. Nice new coasters that haven't had a chance to age. Yeah, I'd still go to CP if it was one OR the other, but after the way MS, Mantis, and Maggie have begun to *decline*, the gap narrowed...(ducking)

Basically, I'm a woodie first...but I love good steel, too. Other than Blue Streak, CP is lacking in that dept., while SFWoA has BD and Villain...

Rollergator,

Is the Mean Streak not a woodie too?

Planned Parks for this summer: SFoGa, CP, SFWoA, SFGAm, SFKK, PKI, MA, SFStL, HW, KW. Is 10 enough?
Cornerstone Festival 2002... I will be there

Sure, Mean Streak is a woodie, but not a highly-regarded one. I agree with RG, SFWoA DOES beat CP in the "wood worth riding" department.

Hey BGCPFan - do you think using the gate near Maggie would be a quicker route to WT?

Finally...WoA get's some credit it deserves.

I dunno why people think it's such a bad park...I went to this park 20+ times last year and did not have *ONE* bad day at all.

I guess you just have to go into a park with an open mind, willing to forget the bad things and remember the good things...we go to parks to have fun...not ***** about everything that goes wrong.

I think alot of the time people are jealous of WoA so they lash-out against the park. Also alot of people from this site hear all the neg. comments about the park and then they go into the park with a neg. mind. Go to have fun...don't worry about what other people think...make your own assumptions.

I could find alot of things that annoyed me about all the parks I have been too...but I don't. I focus on the good not the bad and I always have a great time because of this.
