Question to Floridians about Boardwalk & Baseball

A friend of mine told me he saw a story on the recent local Orlando news that someone has bought the old Boardwalk & Baseball property and was planning to ressurect the park. He said a lot of photo shots of the site were seen on the news and the new owner was going to restore the park and make it better than ever. They showed an artist rendering of what they plan to do. Does anyone out there have any inside info to confirm this story. I haven't heard or seen anything on the net about it and wonder if there is any light to be shed on the subject. I sure hope this is true because it was a great park!

It was on one of the local news channels, but he couldn't remember which one.

I was in the area in Feb, and some developement company had placed a master plan in effect of the property. The KC Royals are leaving for Arizona soon, and without spring training, the whole property is open to develope. Rides are all gone, well, it will make a nice retirement community.

Perhaps they should rebuild it in Arizona??
