Question RE: Restraint Changes to S:ROS

I rode S:ROS two weeks ago at SFA and was pleased to find out that I was able to fit in the restaints - although not by much. I had heard that in the wake of the tragedy earlier this year on a S:ROS in New England that the restraints had been changed.

My question is what was changed and were all the S:ROS rides (RCDB lists three in U.S.) modified?

I've ridden MF at CP, which had a similar restraint system to the one I saw at SFA, except there was an extra seat belt-type belt attached to the handle of the lap bar that connected to the seat frame, is this what was added?

Thanks,
Kestrel

The restraints systems on all three S:ROS coasters are identical. The extra seat belt you mentioned (and the "shin pads") were added this year to all three rides.

Also the rails that run down the side of the lap bar was added.

All of the S:ROS had t-bar restraints, with no sidebars, shin pads or extra safety buckle which I think is just a double check to make sure you fit safely in the ride.
