Question on VF's Armed Forces Day

Looks like VF has fired off another special event on fairly short notice. It's the start of a good idea...but what about the wives and children of those on active duty? You know, a fair number of people in the local area have spouses in Saudi Arabia, Iraq or on other peacekeeping missions (Bosnia comes to mind). This really should specifically include them as well. They could use a good distraction too.

Nice to see the parks getting in on this. As far as I know, in the Incentive Wars (TM), all of the Big 3 have a discount of several hundred bucks off a car for anyone in the military.

CoastaPlaya,

While it may not be very honest thing to do necessarily, spouses and children over the age of 10 I believe, have Dependent Cards. They look exactly like the Active Duty ID's that the Service Men and Women carry, except they are orangeish rather than a green.

Correct. I chatted with Char about 2 minutes after posting and realized they'd already be eligible. It would still look great from a PR point of view to specifically mention them, which is the only reason I didn't 'Tekno' the thread.
