Question on PKI "limited operation"

I'm planning side trips for this year's SRM, and I realized that I would probably be able to hit PKI again on the day before SRM. It is open on this day (May 30th) from 10 am to 8 pm, but the website says it will be "limited operation". What exactly does that entail? I know that the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk does this in the off-season, where the park will be open but only 5 rides or so will be operating. Considering how big PKI is and the fact that they have pretty long hours that day, I'm wondering just how much of the park will be open.

Anyone have experience with this? I didn't notice this on PKI's calendar last year.

TIA,

BaSS

I can help you out here because when I visited PKI back in June last year, I was unfortunutly only able to visit the park on 2 days and both of which were limited operation days, so here is what my days were like there

Firstly, you will find that pretty much all The Rollercoasters WILL be open so no need to worry about not riding SOB,The Beast and FOF for example. On both days when I went, all Coasters were open except for Racer forwards, and when I asked why, it was exactly that it was because they had no staff to run it.

As for the Other Rides, Some were operating for just Half the Day and Some not operating at all. When I went on both days, I noticed that the rapids was open in the mornings, but closed in the afternoon, The same went for the Log Ride which again was operating in the morning, but closed in the afternoon. I also noticed the 7th Portal was closed in the morning, but open in the afternoon, so generally you should find that although a ride might not be operating all day, All rides should be operating at some point during the day but Its just pot luck for some of the rides, But all the Rollercoasters will/should be operating all day anyway which is the most important thing ;)

You also may find that some Shops might be closed all day, or agin open for just half the day, and that goes the same for the restaurants, I noticed some restaurants closed all day which meant the ones that were open were quite crowded

You shouldnt be put off too much if you do have to visit the park on one of these days, the crowds should be a little bit quieter than normal which will be nice(Both days when I went was very quiet, Most Rides were walk ons including Top Gun,SOB,The Beast and others) and you will still get to ride all those important looking coasters :)

Hope all this helps and gives you a general idea of what it may be like

Thanks for the help, guys! I wanted to make sure a visit was worth it, as I went on a very crowded day last year, and only had half the day due to a stop at SFKK earlier that day. I missed 6 of the coasters, plus Drop Zone. I figured it would be kind of light due to the school schedule, and I'm so glad to hear most of the coasters should be open.

Thanks again,

BaSS

Normally, more rides will be operating later in the day as workers that are in school could work after school was out for the afternoon.
