Question for Gurnee/Great America area folks!!

Can anyone tell me if the store "Coney Island Frozen Custard" on Grand Ave. will be open this coming weekend? How about Labor Day itself?? I am going up to GA and want to see the working model coaster inside the store, which is only a few minutes from the park, but I will be on a tight schedule. They don't have a website, so no way to get info. Even a phone # would be great. Thanks!

Chitowns 6 year old daughter says "Daddy, Dippin Dots are nasty!!" I must say that I agree!!

As of today at 1pm when I stopped there on my lunch break from work for some ice cream I noticed that the model is not operating right now due to some of the track peeling away from the structure.  I guess it is time to go get some modeling glue.

If you get this before you leave for your trip to SFGAm, Have a great time.  Even if the model coaster is not running it is still pretty impressive to look at.  It is huge.
