Question about tomb raider:firefall

Where is this ride located exactly? Is it in the plot where diamond falls used to be?
its located right across from volcano

coasterfreakone 100 voyage laps and still cant get enough
The best way to describe it, it's next to Bubba Gump's. I believe I heard someone remark the old monorail station use to be there.

A day at the park is what you make it!

Here's a really neat-o thing about the internet: you can go to a park's website and see a map of the park!

Pretty amazing, eh? ;)

Amazing things technology can do for us these days, don't ya think Mamoosh? ;) Anyways, it's right across the midway from the entrance to Volcano, or if you're heading toward Volcano, once you go under the big sign that is about 50 yrds from the ride, if you turn left, it would be right there. The enterance is right down near the enterance to Avalanche.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

The Diamond Falls site is still vacant. They also tore out the slides that were next to it. So according to the survey, that brings up three possibilities (or more):

a) Expansion of Water Works and Australian re-theme
b) Expansion of Nickolodean section
c) Top Gun B&M coaster

There were other options (Tomb Raider walk-through, Tilt Coaster, SpongeBob coaster, Italian Job Stunt Track, Giant Frisbee, Soundwave coaster), but I think the three above are probably the most realistic. We'll find out in a year or so.

^What the heck? Expansion of the Nick Central area? I don't believe that the DF area and Kidzville are even bordering one another. I know that they are close, but not close enough to expand Nick Central over there.

I doubt that a "Top Gun B&M Coaster" will even be coming in the near future, and if it is, especially not in that spot. That spot is barely big enough to hold an impulse, let alone a full size invert.

The Boomerang Bay actually makes sense, even though recently the park has been expanding the waterpark more and more behind Rebel Yell, and from what I can tell they still have a ton of room back there.

My best guess, is that is where the Delirium will go, when/if they get one. Oh well.. I just hope something goes there soon, it looks silly having a large open area in the middle of the park.

As for Tomb Raider I had the pleasure of riding it this past Sunday, and other than the uhh.. pain it causes to a certain part of the male anatomy.. it was a great ride, and really adds a lot to the area. Need to head up there again soon, with some uhh.. protective covering of course.. ;)

The map I have from last year may not be the best, but, it's clear that they could expand Nick Central in two different directions into the vacant area. The first direction would cross over the path in front of Shockwave directly into the Diamond Falls site. A Runaway Reptar coaster would probably fit there. The second direction crosses further west into the southern end of the Congo area. As for a B&M, why not? The Top Gun coaster at Carowinds is on a vary narrow footprint. And, if they can build a coaster over water, they can do anything. Just look at Indiana Beach, or Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

I hear you about Tomb Raider. Due to one side being a little bit larger than the other side (which is way more information than any of you wanted to know), it was getting pinched at times. It was just slightly uncomfortable, but nothing that would keep me off the ride.

Always gotta be a smarta--, huh moosh?
In Moosh's defense, it really isn't that hard to look up a park's website and find their park map. You know, they probably paid someone thousands of dollars to make a really good looking website that has lots of information, including the location of Tomb Raider Firefall. The promo for the ride even tells you where it's located.

It's not been uncommon for someone to ask a question, and it doesn't get answered for a while, and then they ask "Why hasn't anybody responded?", usually about five minutes later because they're so impatient, when they could've found the answer in those five minutes. Remember, search engines are your friend.

Thank you for the recap intamin fan. The point was taken in moosh's comments and yes I did check the site and it wouldn't load fully into my wonderful computer.

As far as mamoosh is concerned, I would hope he wouldn't take my comment as anything less than a compliment. I myself am proud to be an elite smarta-- even though it doesn't show in my posts. There was no offense intended towards mamoosh or intamin fan in any of my postings. And thanks to anyone who helped me better understand where this ride is located.
