Question about Texas Giant????

Can anyone tell me why SFOT has put all those trims on the Texas Giant? The ride is not even remotely thrilling. I rode it for the first time last month and was extremely disappointed. I hope it does'nt run like this for long. I hope to go back next year to ride the new hyper, hopefully the Giant will be running like it should.
My guess would be that the park wants to make the Giant as fun to ride as Mean Streak. :)

Seriously though, I would imagine there have been complaints regarding the roughness of this ride. It's a shame too because the ride was smoother than I have ever experienced at the beginning of this past season. However, last weekend I rode the Giant after it had been raining all day. I am not sure if it was just the wet track or what, but I got a ride so shaky it reminded me of the Rattler at SFFT. And I was even sitting at the rear of the first car, which usually delivers me such a smooth ride.

I will probably get slammed for saying this, but I think this coaster would greatly benefit from replacing the current PTC cars with some that could negotiate the curves a little better. This hop-slamming through the curves stuff is for masochists.

I did not notice this problem at all on SFGAm’s Viper. I was so expecting that coaster to give an experience similar to the Giant. But no, it was total smoothness, even from the back of the train. Now that is an enjoyably intense ride.
I rode the Giant back in March right after the park opened this year. It was so wonderfully smooth! I went again early in the summer and it was smooth then, also. When I made a visit on Labor Day weekend, I got beat up on that ride like I have never been beaten up before. That was the first time in my entire life that I was ready to get off of a ride before we even made it to the midcourse brakes. To make things even worse, the worthless @%&*@ of a ride op stapled my fiancee so hard that she was crying when the ride was over. I hope they can fix it for next season. That was ridiculous!
