I don't know if it is in the news section, but will Steel Dragon have a chain lift or a elevator lift like MF.
Thanks

Two chain lifts. The second chain begins about half-way up the lift and "takes over" for the first.

i saw the layout for steel dragon somewhere and it didnt seem like it could possibly be the longest coaster in the world.. If i remembewr correctly it was the list a second hill that turned then the coaster got close to the ground for the rest it was like three consecutive helixes then it headedback to the station of a bunch of bunny hills. not much style. to simple. MF has got tons of style.!!! banked turns final run right by the station and the fian lbanked turn.
will the steel dragon have over banked turns and the magnetic braking
MF IS TECHNOLOGICAL MARVEL!!!
There's a layout on thrillride.com.
Thanks everyone.

What are you kidding me Ron G? Steel Dragon is going to piss all over MF. It has everything IMO the MF should have other than the 80 degree drop which it should have IMO. No bunny hill string on MF. I personally think Morgan looked at Intamin's MF and said "THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT". When I go to Japan next year I will let ya know.

I agree! Steel Dragon is really the first coaster since Magnum to get me this excited. I have been contemplating a trip to Japan with my friend anyway so this just makes that an easy decision for me. I don't just want speed, I want speed, lots of airtime, laterals and a *complete* hyper experience.
all i meant to say was it didnt seem as long as they say it will be! and it doenst use any of the bad *** technology that md has. Ive never rideene a morgan so im excited too. if i could id ride it. there is just something about mf that gives me a better feeling about it. SD uses a chain lift and pressure brakes. it doenst have the cool intamin trains etc etc.

Just once I'd like to see a discussion about this ride not have anything to do with Millennium Force. Get over it, folks... Steel Dragon will be larger. It doesn't make MF, Magnum or any other coaster less of a ride.

Yes but it is part of an ongoing discussion and I think it is a valid topic. Both are of Giga class so I think because MF is all we have to compare it to I think it highlights a good discussion repetetive or not.

And at this point, no one should care. MF's record will be broken soon, but I have a feeling that SD's won't last long either. I think were looking at a 350ft coaster in the next few years, and hopefully here in the states. It's an ongoing limit testing going on right now and I'm all for it :)
