Question about SFDL history

About a week ago my friends and I visited SFDL and had a good time. It's a decent sized park and I was wondering what the history of the park is.

I know Funtime bought the park after it was opened but I was just wondering who created and owned the park prior to the Funtime purchase.

There is a huge section well done by Steve over on SFDL:UG. I've been there every year since I was 5. I love it. Its not to big but not to small. A great size with a great variety of coasters and rides. A great hyper, a descent woodie, an enjoyable looper. In addition a SLC and a Boomerang. All of those are good in their own way and that's why I like it. Read my TR I did a TR about Oktoberfest and it shows that SFDL is good in different ways. For example, 2 trains on all coasters (accept boomerang) and quick staff. Please comment on my TR. I spent alot of time writing it.
