Question about Minderaser or any other boomer

Last trip to SFGL I saw the train on Minderaser was "parked"? between the 2nd lift and the
vertical loop. Is it normal procedure for the train to be located in a stopped postion here or was there an "incident"? Also, if it is normal procedure how do they get it out of there?

It certainly isn't "normal" for the train to be caught in that position...as for a remedy I'm not sure...I'd assume they'd need to bring in some sort of crane to lift it off one car at a time although I suppose there's an outside possibility that they might be able to winch it up to connect with the lift on the second hill but it seems like a problem with that is what caused the stoppage to begin with...

Maybe the're taking it out of apertion because of all of the recent incident with them getting stuck in the cobra roll
(unlikly but it could happen)

The Boomer at my home park has a winch at the top of the second hill for this very purpose. Engineers just pull down the cable, hook it up to the front of the train, winch it up onto the chain drive then release it & it's back in the station before you know it. :)

You can see the winch, I would assume every Boomer has one.
I'm not sure about boomerangs as I have never really closely studied them, but I do know that on the Invertigoes there is a brake between the 2nd lift and the vertical loop. It's primary function is to keep the train from being stuck in the loops if the 2nd lift malfunctions.

As for a re-start procedure, I dont *exactly* know what they do, but I would venture to say that it is not very complicated. One day while I was @ SFA, someone told me that Two-Face was stuck like that but when I went over there a couple of hours later, everything was fine. So I dont think that too much needs to be done.
