Question about kings island.

Do they still do the beast walk back in the morning? If so, when and where do you meet?

Also, this is my first time doing the halloweekends at kings island....Any suggestions? I am sure the park is going to be crazy buisy this weekend with the temps reaching near 90. Are the haunted houses open all day?

Thank you for any info.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Most of the haunted houses open at 7PM. The outdoor ones open at 8PM.

I honestly have no idea about the Beast walkback. Your best bet for that would be to call GR (800-288-0808) and ask. I haven't heard a word about it in ages now.

If you want to save a lot of time, skip the Tombstone Terror-Tory haunt that uses KI's train. It involves two lines (waiting for the train and then waiting in a long, slow queue maze back in the woods) and is a very weak haunt.

Keep in mind that Top Gun will not operate during Haunt hours (after 7PM) because the entrance/exit are used for one of the houses, Club Blood.

I haven't attended a Friday or Saturday yet, but I did go to KI on Sunday morning to buy a season pass for a friend. I got there about 10:30 and the park was practically empty, maybe 10 rows of cars in the parking lot, and every ride was a walk on. It was a beautiful day. I decided to take advantage of it, went around and got on many rides, and left the park in the same condition about 12:30. Still no crowd showing up.

I can't predict what will occur every weekend this month, but I would assume the Halloween Haunt, which runs Friday and Saturday only, is sucking the business out of Sunday. So if you do the Haunt stuff on Saturday night and save your rides till Sunday you should be a happy camper. Certainly no need to worry about a walk back, anyway.

By the way, according to park info the transformation to the Haunt starts taking place about 5 with everything in full swing by 8. It runs till 1AM on Saturdays I think. While I don't care too much for haunted attractions, I have attended the smaller versions in years past and the mazes have had huge lines with long waits. Might make for good riding then, too.

Have fun and be careful.

I just called and there is no more walk backs this year. There is also no more discounted tickets(for ace members).

^Too bad, because they were doing it at the beginning of this year (May.)

As for trying to balance haunted attractions vs riding the coasters on a crowded day, the idea is to do the opposite of what everyone else is doing. That means doing the haunts early (and by early this implies you line up early and hit one house and one outdoor attraction when they open) and doing the coasters late. I haven't been to KI's Haunt yet, so I cant tell you which houses are more popular but based on other Halloween events (CP, BGE) everyone seems to not realize that the houses are open at the beginning of the night and forgets about the coasters at closing. I have never waited longer then 30 min for a house, even though Ive been on days where those parks are packed, and hit every house I wanted to (which was practically all of them) and gotten some sweet walk on rides on the coasters at closing.

That's great to hear about Sunday since I am heading to KI on October 21st... I want it to be empty so it can be fun to go on all the rides for fun! :-)

Anyone interested going there? Let me know... just PM me!
