Question about good time to go to SFGAm

I am planning a trip to Six Flags Chicago on Mother's Day. Does anyone know how crowded that park typically gets that day?

Nope. But that's my birthday, and as usual, I'll have cupcakes for all my fellow employees. :)

I have no experience with SFgam but mothers day id usually very crowded because in the season pass discount book there are coupons for mothers day. I went to SFgadv on mothers day and it was mobbed.

Well, if your planning on going multiple times, DON'T go on opening day ;)

I went to BGW on Mother's Day, in 2001. 15 Minute max wair for Apollo's Chariot. I can't say that it'd be the same at SFGAm, but I think the park will be emptier than usual.

When is mothers day anyways? May? I was at SFGAM on I beleive a Wensday in late May, 2001. It was 50 degrees and scattered showers. That place was quite empty. The longest wait I had all day was on Raging Bull, which was my 5th or so ride of the day. It was only 15 minutes. I think V2 had a longer wait later in the day, but I only rode it once.

But seriously, In my opinion, May is an excellent time to visit Great America, the park is usually fairly quiet. Mother's day is May 11th this year. That is the second weekend that the park is open this year. I'd be willing to bet you'll have a great time. Just make sure that your Mom can handle all of the rides! LOL

Mothers Day wasnt that crowded the last two years. Id say maybe 20 mins for RB, dont know bout the others. May is always a good time, shoot for middle of the week in May if you can, thats the deadest time. If you are gonna go in June-August, I suggest Thursday as this seems to be the least crowded day with Tuesday second to that......and Chang Rocks!, please dont say SF Chicago again :::shivers:: :)
