Question about dueling coasters

I was wondering if any of you have tips on making dueling coasters cross each other at the right time? Like how Dueling Dragons goes staight at each other towards the loops or how they go around each other at the same time on the corkscrews.
I would download this park and look at Jeff's dueling coaster. A long coaster and the timing is perfect when they cross. I was very impressed with the layout.

My only problem is that it's too long. The real problem is that it's hard to do that style of coaster with large loops and bleed off enough speed to keep the train from flying in to the station.

My advice is to test both coasters after each group of elements. ex: make a couple of loops, then just make track all the way back to the station. Test 'em, and if they don't work, add brakes or something and try again. That's what works for me.

I've got a not-too bad pair of dueling steel twisters at my site below.
you'll need the drexler patch installed or the techno trainer 5 to open it. :(
