Quadriplegic man sues Disneyland for being stuck on Small World

A quadriplegic Disneyland visitor is suing the parent company for failing to evacuate him from the broken "it's a small world" ride, the lawsuit says, prompting dangerously high blood pressure. Jose Martinez of San Pedro filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Monday, saying the Walt Disney Co. violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by failing to have adequate evacuation procedures for visitors with mobility disabilities.

No, the Ambulance for not getting to you quick enough if you start having medical issues. Duh.
It think it is perfectly logical to assume that Disney has procedures in place to evacuate guests in wheelchairs in an emergency situation. This was not an emergency and as Jeff said in the first post, they probably did what was safest for the man by letting him off at the platform. IMHO, Disney used good judgment by not evacuating him as a wheelchair evacuation procedure would probably be more hazardous than just letting him wait to return to the station.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
That's standard procedure industry-wide, I believe. If there's any possible way, you bring PC guests back to the station in the ride vehicle.
At least they didn't throw nacho cheese at his face.
