Q's on the Supermen: Rides of Steelies

1) There are three, one at SFA, SFNE and SFDL. Are the SFA and SFDL ones meant to be mirrored clones of each other? As the stats in the CB database are not the same.

2) With the original, built in '99 at SFDL, which way does it turn after the drop?

3) Obviously the SFNE version is the only original here, is taller & faster and the more popular one. Also it's the only one with a Overbanked Turn like the ones on MF. 4) Is the Non-Inverting Corkscrew Air Hill featured on all three? Is it really that awesome? :)

5) Can some one please describe the layouts of all three or post a link to complete (Whole layout in frame) or complete aerial pics?

The reason why I'm asking this is because S:ROS has gathered rave reviews and seems to be more thrilling than MF. I'd like to know why that is. Of course, what with all the rage, it only makes me want to ride them more than ever!! :)

1. They are mirror image clones, but from what I gather, the one at SFA is shifted down five feet because of height restrictions. (When I say shifted, I mean it is five feet shorter, but the drop is five feet lower)

2. After the first drop, the one at Darien Lake has a steeply banked turn to the left.

3. I can't comment on the quality of the ride at SFNE, because I have never ridden it. But from what I have heard, this is the "perfect" coaster.

I've only ridden the one at Darien Lake, but it definetly ranks up there with the big boys.
The third hill is insane.

People rate SMROS at SFNE as the best coaster. Even better than MF. I have never been on it, but I do know the layout. It drops, under tunnel, up, 2 hills, banked turn (like on MF) 2 huge return hills, a helix a hill into mist another helix and then 3 bunny hills!

(someone correct me if im wrong, but thats GENERALLY IT)

I can see how it would be the best coaster, just listen to the layout.

MF has 4 hills. This Sucka has TONS!! i think it would be better than MF cuz the layout just has more.

The SFDL superman is a damn good ride. I don't think it's as good as MF, but that's just me. I'd LOVE to ride the SFNE one, and I'm going to try to get out there this summer (then stop by SFGAdv for Nitro). That hill you're talking about IS amazing, and I wish they'd have put one in MF. If you'd added the finish to the SFDL Superman right before the last overbank on MF, you'd have the perfect coaster, IMO. Anyway, I like MF the best of all of coasters right now, but S:ROS is a damn good ride.
