that will allow you free access to ANY and ALL of their parks...
when their season pass can be had for cheaper than 50 bucks...
that people cry about the very same chain of parks gaining a little bit of profit from an invention designed to do just that.
You want that new coaster don't you?
Now, if only CP would add this. I'd love to pay extra money to get on more rides for my 1 trip there per year from Long Island.
I want a new coaster, but who wants to pay an extra $50 plus park admission just to be able to ride it, and that's saying that it's even open while you are visiting in the first place.
One person's pricey upgrade shouldn't take away from the experience that everyone else paid for. Valuing all of your guests and giving them a great time at the park so they are eager to return is the best way to make money for building new rides, imho.

Q-Bot Gold is just another excuse to get more revenue into the park... and piss patrons who wait in the traditional line like real men do.I don't get why one would pay so much for Q-Bot Gold when they STILL have to wait in line... it's like like the "1st class red carpet" treatment... you've still got the down-side on a very crowded & popular park.
Q-Bot was a good idea. CP's Freeway is even better because it's limited, free, & open to just about everyone... but this Gold thing is just not right. I bet in a couple of years... "Q-Bot Platnium" will be offering golf-cart rides up to the platform & you'll be carried into the front seat of the coaster while served a glass of champaign.
QBOT is the biggest ripoff ever. When Six Flags ran Geauga Lake they used that system and it pissed me off. It should be first come first serve. Its not right if you get there first and because someone has a QBOT it gives them the right to cut. What the hell is up with that? I understand big parks and faster lines, but it should all be equal...wait in line like everyone else...If you don't want to wait...go ride something else. So I must agree completly with DawgByte II on this one.
I understand your point. But try to see mine. I know it's not fair, per se. I never said it was, but I'm just "playing the game".
Not to mention, if you DON'T have a pass, then that IS kinda sucky. I can't see it on those terms cause my dumba$$ has 5 season passes this year. :-/
That said, I'm just trying to maximize my time, that's all. I wouldn't thumb my nose at anyone in the "normal" line for anything in the world.
Anyway, I should easily be able to get on every ride at SFGADV in one day w/o one right? Im going on Friday, August 5th so I get in an hour early too.
They have what...12 coasters? And something like 3 or 4 won't be running durring your visit. So that's around 8 or 9 coasters. Add 4 log rides, and subtract 2 of them because they may not be open. So that's 2 water rides. Add something like 20 or so flat rides (and other assorted attractions like Spongebob and Mad House), and then subtract 5 or 6 of them because they may or may not be open. So that's about 15 flats.
So the coasters lines will be something like 1-2 hours each, so lets just say an avrage of 1.5 hours. Multiply that by 8 coasters (we will round up when computing how many will be open) and you will wait about 12 hours in line for coasters. Lets subtract a few hours just to be nice because Nitro and maybe another won't have that long of a wiat.
Coasters-10 hours
The wait for the 2 open water rides may be about 1 hour each, and that's if the day isn't too hot.
Water rides-2 hours
Each flat might take between 15 and 30 minuts to wiat. Rounding the wait time down, for 15...
...Flats and other attractions-3 hours and 45 minuts.
10 hours plus
2 hours plus
3 hours and 45 minuts
------------------
15 hours and 45 minuts. (It may be more because Batman, Chiller, and Superman may have more than a 1.5 hour wait time, and the park has been known to run below capacity and have slow ride opps.)
I don't think the park is even open that long in a day, so better poney up get that q-bot so you won't have to wait in line. Who cares if it makes the lines even longer for those who don't get a q-bot, just think about yourself for once and do it. Poor Six Flags NEEDS the money so bad right now anyway, with all that debt they're in.
I hope you have a GREAT time so that maybe you will return again soon. Six Flags wants your repeat business, and they are happy to serve you.
(I don't mean anything mean to anyone (except for maybe SF) by this post, I am trying to make a point with sarcasm, and maybe a little truth.)
Q-Bot legalizes stealing from park guests.
In all my trips the max coasters closed were..2... Chiller:Batman side and Kingda Ka. The rest have been running regularly this season including Rolling Thunder on both sides.
Also all water rides are open
Where are you getting the open ride information from cause it seems skewed?
GAdv is not as bad as people are saying with maintenance. Yes some do go down during the day but it's not closed all day.
And you can probably do everything on a day other than Friday, Saturday or Sunday without a qbot. Saturdays are just packed so it doesn't make sense to try it without one. Also there is a limit to how many of each variety of qbot they sell so if you are going on a Saturday I almost recommend showing up at opening and getting it right away unless weather is threatening then you might wanna see what the crowd is like.
