Q. about very weird, old Coney Island coaster

I have this Coney Island movie on video, and there is this really strange old wooden coaster i have never heard or seen of.
Its a circular, multistory coaster thats centered in the middle like a caroussel. Its tilted to one side and revolves (like an umbrella put upside down on the floor). The trains are driven only by the tilted, revolving movement. After they reach the highest point, they gain momentum and travel very fast, ahead of the movement. The circular course can be repeated as long as the operator wishes and the revolving comes to a stop. Then the cars would level out on the lowest point of the track. Its the most amazing thing i have seen, and i only saw a short glimpse of the ride in that video.
I have no clue what the ride is called and how it was. I dont even know, if someone can understand my description of that thing?
Anyone know more?
I know what you're talking about. I've seen short bits of video of this and was always intriqued by the thing.
I believe it was called a "Cyclone Bowl Coaster"

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.
I saw it too but don't know what it's called. It sorta looked like it was basicly a double helix kinda like the High Roller.

Is this similar to the Turtle at Kennywood or is something else. I remember seeing documentaries but I'm trying to match rides up.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
I know exactly what ride you are thinking about but I can't think of the name! It was pictured in one of my older coaster magazine if I am not mistaken! I think it was around 1920!

Forgot to mention this but it is not the Cyclone Bowl! This ride you are talking about is like a single structure which looks a lot like a top! The Cyclone Bowls is TWO sets of spirals instead of one set like this spinning top type coaster has!

I think this is a coaster design that should be re-done. It certainly looks exiting and i am sure that the ride experience is wilder than it looks. It would be a maintenance nightmare, though. On the video you can see TWO trains on the course, which couls mean that there are two independent tracks. Otherwise it would have been a very dangerous ride.
Concerning the CYCLONE BOWL, can i find some pictures somewhere? I have no idea what it is.
