Puyallup Fair

Anyone here plan on going to the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup,WA? As some of you may know, this fair features a 1935 John Miller coaster with Prior & Church trains from a defunct coaster in Vancouver,BC, a Schwartzkopf Wildcat coaster, and a Allan Herschell Monster Mouse coaster. The fair dates this year are Sept. 6-22.For more info, go to www.thefair.com.

I'll be going for sure. I feel the need to be ejected from the front seat of Coaster Thrill Ride. My guess is that Nasai will be going, too.
I was hoping to go this year, but I'm about tapped out on vacation days for the year. Hopefully next fall. Enjoy!

Are the fair dates *about* the same time every year...?

I'll be there Sept. 6th, for the kick-off of my 3 day trip. I can't wait.

I am going, YES! The fair is killer. I will be attending September 9th, with Bassistist. Anyone want to join? The Coaster thrill ride runs really well.......(never any lines either.)

Chris Miesen, where have you been, and if you go back, can I come along?;)

BTW, Gator, the fair always runs from the first full weekend to the last in September. The dates obviously revolve, but they are always in that range.

There should be a rather large contingency of enthusiasts at the fair on Sept 9th.

Rob,I may be able to go up there on Sept. 9th.It is quite often that I am off work on Mondays. It would be great to meet up with you again and meet some fellow Cbuzzers!I am due for a coaster fix.I haven't ridden anything since I went to Silverwood back in June.

I'll be there on the ninth as well. I would be fun to meet up with you all. I have never done any type of free fall ride, ever. I am looking forward to my first, the Extreme Scream.
And because of my love for Coaster Thrill Ride, I will visit Kennywood, LeSourdsville, and SFWoA next year, all have John Miller creations. And I wouldn't mind visiting Lagoon, either. That's how much I enjoy CTR!

Anyone here who would like to meet me at the Puyallup on Sept. 9th, I will be wearing a light green Silverwood Coaster Alley T-shirt.I can probably be found lurking around (or riding)one of the coasters there.

I had planned on going, but went to Playland yesterday instead.
Anyone like thrill rides? Example the Zipper is one of my favorite things to go on there.......
I wish I could go but can't convince the parents to take me. Once I can drive next year I will definatly be there. How far is it from Portland?

84 coasters and counting

138 miles.

Ron, did you find anyone? I hope it was worth the drive for you. Coaster: Thrill ride and the Zipper are pretty much all I care about there!

No,I didn't meet up with anyone.but Coaster TR was a walk on all day long, got in lots of rides on it.I almost went on Supreme Scream, but $10 for a 45 second ride was more than I was willing to spend. For the same money ,I could get 3 rides on Coaster TR.My 43 year old stomach can't handle the Zipper any more.Guess I should just write a trip report.

extreme scream isnt worth it. i do like the woodie there and the steel coaster called wildcat is fun, but i go for the flat rides mostly.

Does anyone know the deal with the "water coaster" at the fair? I didn't get any info on it, and am curious to know more about it (maker, model, etc.).

Thanks.
