Most people (like the majority of people who post to this forum...) will say that it's an inferior knockoff of DDR. That's their opinion.
I, OTOH, prefer it to DDR because I think it's easier to move around on (and/or freestyle to, if you do that sort of thing) and I enjoy K-Pop music (which I feel has a better variety than DDR's majority of techno-ish music).
Granted, there are things I don't like (song choosing interface being the most blatant), but overall I enjoy it as much as DDR, if not more, since it's what I started on.
Then again, I think we have about every mix conceivable around here, with the exception of Extra.

I am one of the DDR people who has a tough time with PIU, even though the PIU machine is closer to me than the DDR one, mainly because I never played PIU until I could beat a lot of catas in DDR, and thus was already used to DDR and didn't really care much to mess this up learning a game where the arrows were in corners.
But hey, if it's your thing, more power to ya. Personally I think it's whichever one you got started on that you will get good at....

I do like both machines though, although I am not THAT good, at all, at DDR!
Either way, they're a great workout and are SO much fun. I like it when you're doing an easy song but to people who aren't used to it are watching you like "Um..... how do you do that?!" Lol
