Universal's Islands of Adventure is rumored to be planning a ride-until-you-can't event for their Dueling Dragons and Hulk roller coasters as a "coaster envy" marketing ploy against Disney, which will open its new Mission: Space next month.

Did that for an employee event on the Tidal Wave (sanctioned by management), and the Lobster (not sanctioned). Let's just say that we had a lower tolerance for the Lobster. (note: Lobster was a octopus type ride where in Yankee Harbor)

Back in the day I rode Drachen Fire 27 times (in a row)
one summer night before they removed the inversion and lately have rode Alpengiest 12 times in a row. Inversions are great!
I did 8 rides in a row on Hulk and it was starting to get to me a little. After I got off I went on Spiderman and had a terrible ride because of the rides on Hulk. The simulator made me dizzy(or should I say more dizzy than I was). I also didn't feel good for a couple of hours afterwards(I'm sure 5 or 6 rides on DD after Spiderman didn't help).

Hulk doesn't let you rest between cycles as much because of the launch. It has too many inversions to do multiple rides for me.

How would they pull this off anyway? There would surely be more than 32 people willing to pay the price. Wouldn't they have to close the ride or open it ultra-early? I just don't see how marketing something like this would help because only a few handfuls of people can participate.

I'm with Shoewee, sign me the hell up. I haven't marathoned very much, but I guarantee I could go for hours and hours. I know I can.

Most I've ever done is 10 times in a row for Great American Scream Machine at SFGAdv. And I didn't stop because I was feeling sick.

Wow, I go on DD just twice in a row and im really dizzy, i can't imagine doin that
