Pteranadon Flyers

I'm heading down to Florida for the weekend and am looking to finally get the Pteranadon Flyers credit at IOA. Now I've heard that if you go over first thing in the morning and ask nicely, they will give you a spin. Is this true? I would like to make sure about this before I run back to that portion of the park, as I usually do the stuff in the Marvel area first before the crowds come in. Thanks in advance.

G's! They're what's for dinner!

I headed over there first and was able to get on. However, other friends of mine tried the same thing and weren't allowed to ride. I guess it all depends on who's standing at the entrace that particular day. Good luck!

It depends on the operator...park policy dictates that you must have a child to ride with. You can always "steal" a child for a second yo get your credit!

Kid in tow or not, head there early anyway. That line is slowwwww...
I headed down there early a couple months ago to get the credit before I moved away from FL. As long as the line is short (I think it was 15 mins or less or something), they will let you ride. I would get there early, and book it to JP. Kids have a way of getting there fast too!

...still going through Dragster withdrawl after 4 months...

You realize why big people aren't normally encouraged to ride once you start kicking trees.

Is it even going to be open during the day during HHN?

It wasn't last year. PF is still one credit that eludes me even after a half dozen stops at IOA :(

Dorney Park Visits in 2003: 17

Just a quick update. I tried this, this weekend and was able to get the credit. We went back to the Flyers as soon as the Jurassic Park area opened (around 10:00) and the gentlemen at the entrance waved us right through. It is definitely the way to go if you want to try and get it without borrowing a child. Good luck!

I worked at this "coaster" for a few months in 2001. It was THE most difficult job I have ever had. It's bad enough trying to explain why childless adults can't ride, but try explaining it to someone from another country whose english is not very good and you have a real problem.

We did let the adults ride when the line was about 15 minuts or less, which is usuially durring weekday mornings and rainy days. Run back there first thing-as soon as the park opens. If you're not allowed to ride P-Fliers, you can always be on one of JPRA's first trips.
