PTC "ownership" of coasters

Yeah, but then we'd have two closed wooden coasters instead of just one!

I never knew that Thunder Run was designed for Americana. That just makes this long time tale that much more interesting.

Thunder Run was designed by John Fetterman- the same John Fetterman that designed Knoebel's Twister. The park [obviously] never built the design and it wound up being the basis for Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom, although it wound up being a Summers/Dinn ride. I've never been, but people say it is an excellent ride... good enough that it served as inspiration for the Hurler twins that were built at Carowinds and PKD.
