Psyclone

I remember riding this for the first time in 95', it was a sweet coaster, it flew through the course, I don't remember it being rough or slow back then. Then I rode it in 98' an 2000, and both those years the coaster seemed to have gotten much worse, this time it was rough, I remember getting really bad back and neck pains after getting off this ride, the banked turns were so incredibly slow that my brother and I were laughing while riding through them, it barely made it over some of the hills as well. Now I'm not sure if it's gotten any better since then, but when I went in June I didn't even bother riding it.

Hey sfmm15, that's a pathetic looking woodie list, why haven't you ridden Ghostrider or Roar? Those are both class A woodies that seem to be near your area.

The tunnel and first drop are OK but after that the ride is extremely rough and slow. I just wanted to get off after the first drop.

Steel: 1)MF, 2)Goliath, 3)Magnum
Wood: 1)Villain, 2)Beast, 3)Roar(SFMW)

I found Psyclone to be "over the top."

Psclone is so bad, IMHO, that it's good.

While other crap-o woodies like Wolverine Wildcat just flat out suck and are in no way entertaining, I found the experience on Psyclone to be so ridiculously horrible that my only reaction was to laugh like a mad man.

Oh yeah, that H = Hater.

Edit: I also am a big fan of Edward Albee, Mark Leyner, and David Sedaris if that helps to put things in perspective.

I loved Psyclone. I'm just not a fan of B&M's trains. Even though thats there only one. If it had lapbars like the classic PTC trains or NAD trains then it would be better.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

I don't know what is wrong with some of you guys, but you make the ride sound SO HORRIBLE. It's not bad at all! All I hear are people complaining about their bruises, broken ribs, etc, well its kinda funny I've been on the ride about 4 times in the last 2 years and I came away with no injuries at all! I think many people just think its not that fun and just try and diss it or something, but its getting annoying. This is exactley why I never listen to any other people's opinions on rides anymore.

chris, ROFL.....I got about 5 or 6 rides on the coaster, kept riding....I'm thinking "it must be a bad seat, maybe the other train, can't really be THAT bad"....I kept trying....it only got worse. Finally, at the end of ERT one morning, got off Deja Vu and there's Rev. Cliff asking for enough riders to fill the train enough to dispatch (17 riders I think)....well, he's a man of the cloth, so I figure I'm safe....wrong! The thing is truly an "abomination"....horrible....I also laughed most of the time....

I rode The Boss this last week and I thought that was a beating although I still had a great time on it. Can someone compare the two for me?

I look forward to my Psyclone style beating in Sept.

jive - Totally different animals.

The Boss gives an out of control, intense, exhilarating ride. Psyclone does not, as it just bounces, shuffles, and stalls through the course. Wildly entertaining, IMO, but not a "good" ride.

Guess I'll throw my 2 cents in:

Psyclone SUCKS!

I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

I might as well jump in since I went to MM for the first time about 2 month ago. I could not believe how slow and rough this coaster is. I would not bother riding it again if I make the trip to Ca again. You really wonder if it is going to make it through the course because it travels sooooo slowww.

I have been on both too!

You just think you are looking forward to the Psyclone. Trust me, you are not. You will see!

Psyclone is by far the worst wooden roller coaster I have ever ridden. I have been on Psyclone (of course), Blue Streak, Mean Streak, Viper, American Eagle, Raging Wolf Bobs, Villain, Pegusus, Zues, and Cyclops.

I am a die hard wooden coaster fan, but I really hated Psyclone, my back ached for a couple of hours after I got off, it almost ruined my day (it would have, but I got a ride on X at night right before leaving, very la di da).

Psyclone is by far the worst coaster I have been on.....too rough and way too boring. Wood just isn't B&M's thing.
It's no wonder they are sticking with steel!

Well if they wanted it to be like a carbon copy of the Coney Island Cyclone ,then they got one becuase no one ever said th original one is smooth as glass, a matter of fact its so rough thats the only reason you get air time is becuaes its so rough , its so rough it can knock the wind out of you,and crack your back, but thats part of the great ride it gives.

Frick... I thought this was about Wonderland's Mondial Frisbee.

Oh well

Pysclone is the greatest ride anyways :)
