Tilt coaster -- Vekoma and Gio (but didn't Gio get out of the coaster business?).  Arrow still has the Arrowbatic, but seems like a solid concept.  That's all I know for sure...

Its either Arrow or vekoma who is doing the Hammerhead stall, but I doubt we will see that one for awhile.

Gio is still in the coaster buisiness, just though i'd let you know:) B&M is doing theyre prototype flying coaster, Arrow just built the 4-D, I heard of that Arrow pipeline coaster coming back, but i havent heard it recently, just a few scattered words here and there, and there is the before mentioned tilt coaster, and arrow-batic, so those are a few i've heard about.

I thought I heard a rumor that the 3rd proposed coaster that SFA was supposed to getting (according to the building and zones permits) is the Hammerhead Stall because the Hammerhead is inside a building and SFA is supposed to get a dark coaster. It was just probably a bad rumor and most likely that will not happen at SFA because the Hammerhead Stall is still a prototype and SFA will probably get a third coaster before the Hammerhead Stall comes out. I hope SFA gets the proposed stand-up but I think that the flying coaster replaced the stand-up and also, stand-ups really are not being made much anymore.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
Isn't Arrow also trying to bring back the Virgina Reel coaster?  Those rides looked wicked with huge lateral g's.  That would be awesome.  Major puke ride.

i would love to see B&M make an above the track impulse.
Yeah, what exactly is a hammerhead stall?

poosh tats!

Hammerhead, if memory serves, was a Vekoma prototype, with some unique inversion element that was supposed to be built inside an Orlando-area hotel. (Sheraton, I think).  Don't know too much else about it, I did look for the hotel (supposed to have 2 coasters there) one time when I was in O-town on business (I live in FL).  AIR is coming along well, and I think the pipeline is still looking for someone to install it at a park.  And PKI is keeping pretty mum about what EXACTLY is going on with TR:TR.  Although I'm not expecting a coaster, there's still some hope!  And who knows what the evil genius is up to in the desert (we LOVE Stan Checketts and S&S)!

Hammerhead Stall is actually this...

It is a big U shape. You ride in cars that look like a air-plane (from Vekoma's website) and when it get's to the top of one of the U's straight towers it "stalls" and the cars flip around so you are facing straight down, then they drop again and up the other tower, and so on.

I am guessing it is supposed to produce major air with the "stalls" just like Superman The Escape and Superman Ultimate Escape does on it's towers.
