PROOF That There Was A Riot At Six Flags GA! Please Read Before Locking!

---------------

I'm not a former employee, just an employee who was nearly run down and nearly severely injured by the riot... I was pretty mad that Six Flags official statement was that there was a "fight" at Nitro. Total bull****.

People need to know the truth and how unsafe SFGA has really become, that's the only reason I am posting this, guys. *** Edited 11/11/2004 6:57:38 PM UTC by Mr. Man*** *** Edited 11/11/2004 7:43:58 PM UTC by Jeff***

Not knowing anything about this story, I will simply say that one statement in a newspaper doesn't "prove" anything. Reporters have been known to be wrong, and even if she's right, park security's definition of a "riot" could mean anything.

My blog You said, "I'm gonna run you down." I heard, "I'm an orangutan."
Den, I'm just try to get the truth out there. You are free to believe what you want.

Perhaps it was because I was almost severely injured that I have a drive to get the message out that things are NOT very safe anymore at SFGA.... I don't know.

Anyhow, police don't come in from 8 different districts WITH canine units for a scuffle. Park security handles that. Security was overwhelmed, things esclated into a riot, and police had to be called in.

Whoop-de-crap, so there was a riot, it was close to Halloween, there were riots everywhere. Apparently, that's the "thing to do" these days. Yet another reason why I hate Halloween.

Give it up, we're not that concerned.

(shrugs) That's fine if you don't care, but I'm sure there are plenty of FAMILIES out there that read this forum that DO care.

I have a family and I don't care.

This sort of thing could happen anywhere at any time. There was an incident. It sucks, it happens.

I'm even cool enough that I won't close this on you.

I suspect you'll get more than a few "meh" responses.

It's simply not as big of a deal as you want it to be.

i agree with lord gonchar, if you go to great adventure when there are really heavy crowds, you can expect trouble. go there early in the season (may is best) and you can walk on every ride, they also let you stay on if nobody's in your queue.
