Problems With B&M Stand-Up Restraints

I think the main problems with the newer stand-ups is the lack of leg space, especially on the outer seats. I don't mind the bicycle seats because if you put it low you can easily stand without touching it. They are still great though.

"These Hardy Boy's books aren't too bad either. This one's about smugglers! They're all about smugglers dad. No, not this one, The Smugglers of Pirate's Cove, it's about pirates" This summer - SFOG, SFGAM, BGW, Las Vegas, SFMM, and KBF!!!

What do you consider a new standup?

I think they are way to high when its up around your head. I should be shorter.
When I put the seat low enough that it will fit between my legs, the top of the shoulder bar is below the top of my shoulders...far enough below, in fact, that the safety belt won't fasten.

This could be corrected if there were enough floor space for me to put my feet further apart, thus increasing the distance between my thighs. The problem, I suppose, is my 9"-diameter thighs attached to my 17"-diameter pelvis, which means that in order to have enough clearance to accommodate the width of the seat, the seat has to be almost down to my knees. If the seat were narrower, I could get it higher; if the footwell were wider, I could spread my feet and get the seat higher. But as it is, there simply isn't enough space.

I honestly have no problem with B&M stand-up restraints whatsoever. In fact, I prefer them to Togo's. B&M's are just much more comfortable than any other coaster designed by another firm.

Do you mean new stand-up by Riddler's Revenge or like Georgia Scorcher?

Well... the restraints are most comfortable for me when i bend my knees slightly before the operator locks them in... then i stand up and the "seat" doesnt hurt me on the ride.
To bulky and hard, hurts the family jewels.:(
No matter what company, TOGO or B&M, poeple are going to have problems with the restraints. I myslef really dont find either to be that uncomfortable.

Hey I like TOGO's restraints! They allowed me major airtime on KC and didn't feel all that bad.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

I have a lot of respect for B&M's seat design, but I absolutely hated Mantis. It left me sore on my inner thighs for the rest of the day, even though it was my first ride. The bicycle seat is simply too wide.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.
agrewed Intaminfan. I had an outer seatand that has to be the absolute worse...it was so painful I couldn't pay attention to the ride...pretty bad. I think the foot room has a lot to do with it.

I havent gotten to experience TOGO restraints yet (damn you PKI for removing KC before i could ride, and bless PKD for having Shockwave, which i will ride this summer) but I found the restraints on Mantis to be picky. Ive had some "bad rides" if there wasnt the best amount of time to adjust, but I love that coaster, so ive never really had a "bad" ride.

Senyo's stand up restraints were pretty good on Fujin Rajjin, the newer stand up racer, but when Togo attempted in doing Windjammer alone you could really see where Senyo's quality restraints and transitions didn't appear. Togo has always done well on projects with other companies(almost every Togo in Japan has been a duel project), but all of the ones they did in the USA were single and did not show as much quality.
Ow, vertigo.
