An Italian private equity group is to take full control of PortAventura in Spain, Europe’s third-biggest theme park. Investindustrial acquired half of PortAventura three years ago and is now to purchase the remaining stake from the industrial holding arm of La Caixa, the Spanish lender.

I really enjoyed myself when I was there in '09. I would definitely visit the park again. Being close to Barcelona is a definite plus as well.

Who knows what separatism could bring. As long as I could visit the parks I want and make my way to Andorra to ride Tobotronc again, I'd be happy.
