I’ve always wondered about those parks that are only available to private groups to rent out (i.e. Hillcrest Park, Strickler’s Grove). What’s the incentive to only operate for private groups? Are they always booked? Do they make money? Are they run any differently from other small parks? Anyone been to an outing at one? Who books these parks? Have any coaster enthusiast groups held an event there? Since I can’t see my employer ever holding an outing at an amusement park, I’ll have to live vicariously through the response of others.
I forget the numbers but I think Stricker's requires a rather high number of attendees for the rides to operate.
Anybody can rent the place though if you want to restrict yourself to the banquet hall :)

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

Please visit the small parks. We don't know what's happening behind the scenes

How far is Stricker's from Holiday World?
And just how many people would it take to get the rides open?

....all the more reason that a collection of COASTER enthusiasts *should* rent out the park (Stricker's) some time, no....
I totally agree. I am going to try to get there when they are open in August. I think right after SRM would be a perfect time to rent the place out, it would be nice if ACE could do it. It is really not far from HW, and anyone coming from the Northeast pretty much has to go right past it to get home.
