Take a look my friends, the first ever inverted pretzel loop and it looks pretty amazing.
Also take note of the trim added to the first drop... that's Six Flags for you, trimming a ride that's not even open yet..hehehehe

Have to admit that it certainly looks pretty. :)

I'm not exactly a huge B&M supporter but those photos make this coaster already look more interesting than the Vekoma flyers.

well, it IS kinda like trimming a tree, LOL.  Thanks for the pics, really beautiful looking ride...sometime EARLY next season, SFoG is where I'll be picking up those SF season passes.  Definitely already one of the best SF parks, and sad to lose Viper, but this is gonna be FUN!  Only question is, which other parks will we be lucky enough to use them at?  Any coaster vacation is a good vacation in my book...

The Pretzel Loop looks likes too diving loops next to each other with out the diving part. Thanks, as always, for the pics.
Alright...I'm somehow gonna get my dad and family down to SFOG just to ride this bad-ass mofo of a ride!

All newer B&M's feature trims.  Its not a Six Flags thing, its a B&M thing.

Idle hands were orient to her.

Ooh, ooh, look.  Underneath the lift, they've built a nice little concrete ravine type structure.  Look at 2774 and 2778.  We are going to be coming VERY close to the gorund there.  Just look at how low some of those supports are!  *jaw drops*

This ride looks sweet. We'll be seeing these pop up all over the place in the years to come. You lucky Georgia residents!
The ride looks great, but some of those pictures make the drop look tiny, like its smaller that the inversion. lol
Ok, I may need to SOMEHOW add SFoG to my list of destinations next year.  Wow is that thing looking cool.

No, Bob Armstrong, a gentleman that works for the park is taking the photos for us. He was taking them before it was announced, but Six Flags told him to remove them off his website or lose his job. Now, the coaster is announced and the park has allowed him to post the photos as long as they approve them first. He took those on January 29th, but just got them approved yesterday.
BTW, not all B&Ms are trimmed, especially on the first drop. Usually, the parks themselves want them to run at a certain speed, so B&M add the trims. They don't want much variation in speed when the weight of the train drastically changes.

WCUSA-The World's largest theme park is coming!
Theme parks will NEVER be the same!

Chris, since 1999, there have only been a handful of B&M's that have NOT been trimmed, pre opening.  Fire Dragon and Hulk don't really count, since they were DESIGNED to open before 1999, and the only other B&M I can think of without a trim anywhere (top of lift, drop, *anywhere*) is Georgia Scorcher.

That leads me to believe it's a B&M thing, not as much a park thing.  I don't know if your first post was a joke, but it's obviously not a SF thing, seeing as how almost every other B&M since 1999 has had trims (Kraken - Busch, Talon - Cedar Fair, Wildfire - SDC, etc...).

And that's the end of that chapter. :)

Have you ever considered that maybe it's not you that's the problem, but THE PARK? ;)

Is it really the first pretzlel loop?I don't think so,If I am not mistaken Dragon Mountain has a pretzel loop.At least it did when I rode it.
The bottom of that pretzel loop is going to be intense.  Looks sweet too bad I won't be in Georgia for a long while.
That is one salty looking loop(sorry bad joke). It does look like a great looking ride  and loop.

Dragon Mountain has a bowtie.  If you're comparing this to a Togo Pretzel loop then this wouldn't fit the description(Togo's pretzel loop is just like a batwing but the corkscrew part cross over each other).  This is a first of a kind inversion featured on S:UF, but uses the same name.

I hate to yell but....THEY ARE NOT TRIMS!!!  Those brakes are used to stop a valleyed train.  Talon has one, BKF has one, as do other newer B&Ms  They are NOT used to trim speed.  I would not be surprised to see one installed at the bottom of the pretzel loop, too.

How exactly can you tell, 'Moosh?  Why do rides like Nitro, AC, Raging Bull, SKC, Alpengeist all have trims that TRIM speed?

If you are going off of what Bill Buckley said when AC was opening, I think it's incorrect.

Look at where some of the trims are, there is no way a train would valley in some of those spots (RB end trim, 3rd hill trim, Kraken 3rd trim, etc.)

Not to mention, why are most trims on floorless not at the BASE of a valley, instead, most are going UP or coming DOWN a hill.  Which would indicate to me that it's for TRIMMING purposes, not for STOPPING purposes.

Please tell me where you heard they are for stopping valleyed trains.

He's right. The brakes he's talking about are at the bottom of hills (this ride, Talon, Batman Knight Flight and apparently others, have them). The other brakes trim speed at high locations or the mid-course. Vekoma does the same thing on boomerangs and Invertigos.

And so what if a ride is trimmed? Big deal. I'm convinced that it's just something for enthusiasts to complain about. Not once have I ever experienced any trimming that took away from the ride.

I'd be willing to be that brake never sees any action at the bottom of that hill.
