I was at GAdv. on Sunday and found that the first 10 or so rows of parking has been turned into preferred parking. I went to the park for a few quick rides on Medusa and was rather annoyed to find out I couldn't get a parking spot close to the entrance of the park because the front of the lot was blocked off for preferred parking. I drove out of the lot and back to the main parking entrance to find out what was up with the parking and found that it's called preferred parking and it'll cost you $13 to park there for the day, if you have a season's pass it costs $5 or $3 if you have a pass with parking. WHAT A RIP OFF! So much for quick trips to GAdv.!!!

Well, if the market will bare it, they'll charge for it!
That said, I'm pretty irritated with the parking pass structure for SFO, which sounds similar, in that you get a string of tickets instead of unlimited parking lot access. Granted, that park needs to everything they can to limit parking, but it did go along way in preventing me from doing my little after work visits.
