Pre-Ordered Coasters

Hey gang, I took a tour over to http://www.atari.com/rollercoastertycoon/preorder/ and noticed a spot to put in my pre-order key code for the three coasters. I submitted it and was taken to a new page that said download coaster pack, but nothing happened.

1) Has this happened to anyone else?

2) Are the downloaded coasters still coming on the 26th or earlier?

Thanks. -Michael

It says right on the site the coasters will be available on the 26th, so the link is no active yet.

Yeah, I saw that it said they would be available on the 26th, but the link to the second page confused me. Plus, I figured the coasters would be available early, since EB Games says it will ship it to me on the 26th.

Thanks, though.

New here...but was interested to learn more about the pre-order coasters...

looks like its not active yet....but i bet it'll work on the 26th...if thats what they said.

Welcome SixFrags, as to the link you can expect the link to be active around noon on release day for preorders or later with the active link, assuming it works the same as the demo link.
Thanks for the welcome DC2Beltz3!! I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of coasters will be featured in the preorder special coasters....any ideas/rumors??

If I recall correctly, both the pre-orders from EB and GameStop come with IOA's Dueling Dragons. The difference is the third coaster. I think one comes with an invert, while the other comes with a giga over a lake.

Actually, it's Dueling "Dragsters" a stand-up coaster with twin tracks. There are no real-word licensed coasters in this game.

Jcat's right, all coasters this time will have to be either "recreated" or "imported"
Dueling "Dragsters" sound pretty good enough to me though. Thanks for the info too. Also, are you all definitely preordering? I am bc I don't see any reason not to...just wondering if you all are as well.

In any case, this site is really awesome, glad I found a quality forum to "talk shop" on.

there are videos of all of the bonus coasters on the atari forums, on this thread: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=82808f462a9033021ccdd9b1d6e17f2f&threadid=419868

I've seen screens of all the pre-order creations and vids of a couple.

I don't even think I'll bother with the DL's.

really??? oh you crazy Lord Gonchar...seriously tho...why would you not take free stuff?? maybe its just me, but i'll always take more if I can get it. In this case, more is more.

Free crap is still just crap.

I dunno about all that. It just doesn't make sense to me...why not take it anyway though? We both know we're getting the game, so theres no harm in preordering...and when you preorder, you get free stuff. so you take the free stuff, and keep it somewhere you can use it if you want at a later point. maybe I just don't see things your way either, which is entirely possible.

In this case it's totally possible :)

I pre-ordered. I have zero interest in files on my hard drive that I'll never use. I didn't pre-order just for those files and I would have still pre-ordered if they weren't available.

With all due respect to John Wardley - he makes great real life coasters, but he's not even close to the top of my "favorite RCT coaster designers" list.

I saw the video clips. They weren't that special.

Really, Thats dissapointing, vids of downloadable coasters that arn't even any good! Bah! :( The only good thing is the game itself which is probally worth it! :)

Well, it's not so much that the videos suck - it's that the coasters in the videos suck. :)

Real life skills do not translate to RCT skills and vice versa...

Otherwise we'd all be working for B&M and I'd be downloading those bonus coasters.
