PPP Costume Poll

I will be attending PPP for the first time this year, and wanted to ask PPP veterans for some costume advice.

1. What percentage of PPPer's actually dress up?

2. Are there limits as to what the park will allow you to wear on the rides? I'd assume it to be a common sense thing, but one person's idea of common sense is not necessarily that of another.

Thanks.

Basicly you can wear anything you want. The only thing is that you don't want a costume that will stop you grom riding the rides. I saw just about everything there from pepole dressed like Fabio complete with the goose, people dressed up like bumper cars, Lake Compounce grounds worker (remember the Boulder Dash accident last summer) and a drag queen,. I just wouldn't do anything that might offend people.

I always say I'm gonna dress up but never do. One of these years I will.

believe me, if one person laughs, someone else will be offended.....(in jeremy's parlance, that's a YP)....If I manage to get there this year, which looks unlikely as my sister's getting married the following weekend, I'll dress.....the costume is anybody's guess though...

I was thinking of painting myself blue and going naked. I'd be the Blue Streak! :) After the chillfest last year I don't think it will happen.

gator - What happened to your priorities, man? ;)

c'punk - Awesome. You could wear a trench coat and be the Blue Flash.

What day is PPP this year? I just may have to go.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

MF - It's on October 5th.

I may put on a costume this year. I haven't in the past, although last year I DID color my hair (or tried to, anyway...)

PatMan, IIRC, it was damn near free......I mean, wasn't it like $12 for the ERT and the food too.....

Maybe I will dress up as Raptor, just pour green paint on me.

Hmm I would be Magnum but no one can figure out what color it really is.

All I can say is just wait until you see ST Chick. She told me yesterday...:) I might go just to see her costume. Smart girl!

Kara's is awesome indeed....though I won't give any more away.

Don't forget that last year's winners were the gigantic Knoebels cake and candles, incapable of riding. So if you have somethng a bit obstructive, only wear it for part of the event. Though slightly inappropriate now, a 2 man team doing Harry Culder and the bomber from Rollercoaster would be priceless.

Model coasters and rides

PatMan007, Last year I think it was $12 or $13. It lasts from 5 till 10. After PPP they gather everyone at the food cort next to the Phoenix where Dick gives his end of year speech and somtimes hints on the new attraction for the following year. After that they give out prizes for the best costumes usually PPP sweatshirts and T shirts.

After the gathering everyone heads up behind Twister where they have a Huge bonfire and give out hot dogs an marshmellows. Somtimes I endup leaving the park around 1 am.

You really have to be doing somthing wrong not to have a good time at PPP.

I'm hoping this year the make the Pioneer Train Haunted! That would be a fun ride.

I'm still looking for ideas

Arrow Guy- is Kara's costume still the idea she was talking about at PKI? If it is, I still think it's awesome!

-----------------
Welcome "aboard" Wicked Twister. Please keep your hands and arms inside the midway at all times.

If I end up going, I'm planning on dressing up as Ron Toomer. I thought about Kurt Warner, but I dont know if that would go over to well.;)
