oh my LORD! Sounds absolutely delish 'moosh!;););) I can think of something else Trouble Boy could stand for....
Yes, Jeff, you too are a......bastard! The drive isn't the issue. It's the conflicting schedule, and my willingness to go farther into debt. That said, I appreciate all the offers, but Robbie must pass....

Save the Coaster at PNE!!!
How's THIS for trouble, Rob:
Happy 36th Birthday! [one day late...opps!]
Many happy returns ;-)

*looks at sky...* WHY???? Why tell them now???? Argh!!!! Did you have to disclose my age???? Argh!!!!
....then again, they could have just looked at my profile. Actually, I am proud of my age. I am a fine wine as they say. (not a fine whine, 'moosh!;))
Thanks, though. Me like 36 A LOT!

nasai [aka Titan] - you do not look nor act 36...in fact that's probably why we get along so well. What's the saying..."Twisted minds think alike"? LOL!

Hey man, don't change the subject.... We are talking about me here!!!!
Seriously, what were the lines like last year? Did the weather cooperate?

*sigh*
Didn't we go over this before, Rob?
It's not always about you. ;)

Weather was great last year, as I recall, but it's so long ago and I'm getting old. ;)
Lines were tolerable. The event draws more people every year, but Knoebel's knows how to move 'em when they wan to.

I agree, Greg...lines were long but tolerable last year and the weather was much nicer than 2000, when it was VERY cold. Last year there was a brieph moment oph rain but it only made Twister and Phoenix phly phaster. IIRC last year's attendance was a record-breaker [around 1,200 people I think].
I have a pheeling this year's attendance will actually be smaller. I know a lot oph enthusiasts who normally attend each year who cannot make it this year. Add in the slower economy and the possibility oph Lili's wrath and I think it all boils down to a smaller attendance. But I could be wrong.

Do the crowds matter that much? the fastest train dispatches I have ever saw were Phoenix. Those single postion lapbars with no seat belts and plenty of people checking on the platform.
10 second dispatch. And that was with 1 train, I would assume they run 2 for PPP. Twister was much the same way.
How about High Speed Thrill Coaster? I need that for teh credit ;)
-----------------
All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)
MagForce - that's kinda what I meant. Even with long lines last year the awesome Phoenix and Twister crews kept things moving along VERY quickly. High Speed Thrill Coaster is available during ERT so getting your credit should be a breeze. Be prepared for a "kiddie coaster" experience like you've never had before. BTW, adults are allowed on HSTC at all times, so if you're worried about missing it during ERT, try getting your credit during the day.

Credit schmedit, High Speed Thrill Coaster is AWESOME! I can't wait to have a go on it.
See you all there! (Will I be in trouble if I don't have a costume? All my haloween stuff is 1000 miles away form me right now)

LOL No that was Lil Leeper at Lakemont when I was sitting behind Kneemeister when the lap bar broke and he was almost thrown out of the thing. In fact if I hadn't been sitting behind him he most likely would have been thrown out.
I have some killer pics of HSTC but didn't get to ride as the line was long and it was getting late and we needed to find a place to stay.

Is High Speed Thrill Coaster the ofspring of Coaster at PNE? It sounds like it, 'moosh.... I...must...experience....PPP....must...before....too....late.:)

nasai - High Speed Thrill Coaster is in a class to itself. It looks like a kiddie coaster...it sounds like a kiddie coasters...but the way Knoebel's runs it, it ain't no kiddie coaster. You don't ride HSTC, it rides you...lap after lap after lap after lap. On the "PPP Hangover Day" [Sunday] two years ago I rode with a group of enthusiasts and we got 20 laps! Of course none of this would be possible without the way-cool, hand-slapping ride op who runs it. Can anyone remember that old guy's name?
You'll get to PPP eventually, Rob ;-)

I'm totally psyched. I just found myself a ride to PPPP(P?). As for a costume, I'm thinking of doing something, but I don't know what. Maybe I'll just be me (what a concept).
Really excitied to fianlly get to put some faces to all the folks on here.
-----------------
A rollercoaster? What's that?
My friend Dennis and I got 'lost at Knoebel's' last summer, and never made our way to HSTC. :(
Just a couple more days now...

Alright Rob....'03 *wheel and deal* time here! I'll get out to PNE/CAC, you come east for next year's PPP....that sounds "Fair", doesn't it?...
edit: PPP last year, weather was great for "Day 1", then truned rainy and cold....at least by MY *accounting*....50 degrees IS cold...

I dunno, you Florida folk can't take the (lack of) heat very well.
(Although I'll agree that 50 is a TAD chily for riding rides. Still not as bad as the year before, when we were getting flurries on Sunday at Lakemont's Ridefest!)
