PPP

Questions- first: what is it? If it's Halloween-related, does the park have haunted houses like most theme parks at Halloween?
OK....does Knoebles have a haunted house?  Look at their site...it should tell you that they have the BEST one outside of Disney parks (i still think it is THE BEST).  They usually do have a bonfire and something like trick or treating, and it is the Halloween event.  I just miss the old days when it was only the locals and a few enthusiats, and not the crowds that complain NOTHING is open. (As if Phoenix and Twister alone isn't enough.)

Last year was my first PPP, and EVERYTHING was open.  ALL the flats, their oh-so-cool midnight train ride, everything.  We were NOT intending on traveling up to PA for the event, but a good coaster friend told us we HAD to go.  Thanks to Steve, we had a fantastic time, and WILL go again...along with SRM and CoasterCon, these are THE events of the coastering season...
Usually the event starts around phive-ish with ride time on the Haunted House and a phantastic park memorabilia swap meet. Then phrom 6-10 enjoy the most intense wooden coasters in Pennsy, along with all the great phlat rides, phood, and the world-phamous, phabulous Phlyers! And don't phorget the costume contest and bonphire!

Truly the most memorable coaster event aside phrom SRM. I only wish it was longer.....4 hours isn't enouph time to ride everything, especially with the increasing crowds each year (this is a GP event).

Don't.....look.....back! The Headless Horseman awaits you in 2002!
Model coasters and rides

I know a few people who say this is one of the must do events of the year. Luckily I'm only 20 minutes from Knoebels so I'll be there.

One of the best things about PPP are the costumes. Not the staff but the people attending the event. Most parks won't let you in the park dressed up. Knoebels encourages it. They even give out prizes for best costumes.

Although there have been more and more people each year you still get plenty of ride time on the Phoenix and Twister.

Also after the event everyones heads past Twister to the campground for the bonfire. There Knoebels hands out sticks and hot dogs and marshmellows. The bonfire lasts till everyone leaves. I left there 1 in the morning already.

Durring the event they have free mini golf, and lazer tag always pay attractions any other time. When you sign up you get a coupon for a free game of your choice, coupon for two slices of Cesaris pizza and drink.  The last few years it was $10 to sign up. I think last year it was $12 still you can't go wrong with the food, games and the coasters for the price.
