Post-PPPP Tour of Great Coasters Offered

Hello everyone,

I realize that many people on this group already have plans for the Sunday
following the Phun Phest, but I would like to extend an open invitation to
visit our design and vehicle assembly building in Sunbury, PA on Sunday at
12:00 noon.

Chris Gray and I will be present to answer general questions about coaster
design and construction. We'll have free beverages available for attendees.
All attendees will be required to sign a non-disclosure of information
agreement (we'll explain that before the tour) and we ask that there be no
photography inside the building.

This should be a fun little side trip for anyone who was wondering what to
do on Sunday! If you can't make the tour, we'll see you at Knoebels!

Jeff Pike
Vice President
Great Coasters International, Inc.

Directions to our office from Knoebels Amusement Park:

Take Route 487 from Knoebels toward Shamokin approx 6 miles to Route 61.

Turn Right on Route 61 heading North (West) Toward Sunbury approx 10 miles
to Route 890

Turn Left on Route 890 heading South toward Treverton approx 6 miles

Our office is on the left hand side of Route 890, just past a large "Dries
Orchard" Sign

There is a sign and a flagpole just off the road. Please park in the main
lot in front of the building.

Look forward to seeing everyone!

Wow, what a fantastic opportunity! Wish I was in town. Looks like PPP is a definite next year since there's to be no SRM.

Thanks Jeff, it should make for a great stop off on the way to Lakemont. I look forward to it :)

Wow! That's pretty cool. I won't be able to make PPP, but I am in the middle of moving and plan on bringing a truckload of stuff from Allentown on Sunday. I might have to pull the big ol' Penske truck up and take advantage of this offer. :)

Do I need to go to PPP to come to this? I live in the area (Mifflinburg) and cannot go to PPP because of a football game. I do, however have Sunday off. Also, is it just one tour or an all afternoon open house-like thing?

I'm a loser.

Their headquarters is pretty cool. I still remember the first time I drove past and saw it I almost wrecked my car! I probably drove past it 50 times before I saw it!

Jeff is Chris going to take his models there and put them on display? I'm sure everyone would love to see them! Maybe he will find a buyer for his Idora Wildcat! I guess I'll see you on Friday.

Man, I wish I could go. Unfortunately, I have to be at church on Sun. (stupid religion...)

Thanks for the offer though, Jeff.

From Knoebles to GCI's headquarters your looking at about a half hour drive if that. It's probably about 20 miles.

What time does the water show start?

I have to go to check that out. I have ridden all of them except Roar (West,) and the Ozark Wildcat. I will ride those eventually. I love their twisted creations, and look forward to Thunderhead.
Wow, thank you for this invite! I'm definitely going to try to be there.

Hey Mr. Pike...you forgot to mention the drawing for the all expenses paid trip to the Bahamas....

Oh wait...I forgot that management vetoed my idea and opted to give out free drinks instead...

How about a trip to ride Thunderhead before it opens to the public? :) I'm bound to win that if you can enter everytime you stop in the headquarters! I'll enter everyday!

Speaking of Ridefest, kinda a heads up on it, it runs from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Looks like we may have to pick one or the other :( .
