Post-PPP Tour of GCII Office

Hey everyone,

You might remember a couple of years ago there was a tour at the GCII office the Sunday after PPP. It turned out to be a pretty big deal with donuts, juice, milk, Chris Gray's good humor. It seems like more than a hundred people showed up to get a glimpse of the place.

As I understand it, there will be a tour again this year for anyone interested. Add in Dan C's (CoasterPunk) whimsical personality, and I think we're looking at another smash hit.

Stay tuned for more info regarding times, directions, etc.

Last time I was unable to attend....this time, that will NOT happen. Please keep us posted! :)
I just want to let everyone know that the Beech Bend train will be about 80% complete on the day of the tour. Jeff Pike the designer of Beech Bend and Powerpark coasters will be present. We will also have some updated photos from both sites and a free coaster for everyone in attendance. *** Edited 9/30/2005 12:37:05 PM UTC by GCII Chris*** *** Edited 9/30/2005 6:04:45 PM UTC by GCII Chris***

Everyone gets a free coaster? WOW! Now...how'm I gonna get mine on the plane? Will it fit in the overhead? ;)

Andrea, Dan, now Chris....is C'buzz becoming the official-unofficial portal between GCII and the enthusiast community? ;)

Coffee and donuts are de-lish, but a woodie born and bred in PA is a *great coaster*... :)

This was an awesome tour last time - hope I can convince my group to go again.

Could we get more details about the time frame the office will be open for tours and such?

A GCII Coaster.... if I get to attend my beverage of choice will have a thrill ride of it's own :)

Watch the tram car please....
Free coaster? Does Lightning Racer count as one or two?

YES! Please keep us posted! I am SO there! Yum!

Phantom's, Exterminator, TBolt, Phoenix, Yuengling, good friends, and now a TOUR of GCII's offices?

How much better can it get? :-P A free coaster, huh? I will take a clone of Thunderhead. ;-)

Sounds like a blast!

I dunno... like everything else that's been announced lately, I think the tour is going to suck. Who wants to tour the offices of a company that makes rides that are going to suck? ;) [yes, I'm being completely sarcastic]

Seriously guys, I'm there. I missed out last time and I really don't want to miss out again. I think it's great that you do this and I'd love to be a part of it all.

Rob, at least throw a winky ;) to those who aren't aware that you're joking....well, about the first part anyway.

Will there be job applications as part of the tour? :)

Done. I forget that some people don't know how to take a joke!

Planning on ditching the Sunshine State, Bill?

At the moment we are looking at the tours starting at 10am till 2pm.

Here are the directions to the office from Knoebels.

Take Rt 487 South past Sheetz and Elysburg to Rt 61 North ( 6 miles) At the intersecton of 487 and 61 make a RIGHT at the light.

Stay on 61 North (12 miles) to the intersection of Rt 61 and 890 South there will be a bar Dan's Den (not my place) at the intersection. Once you make the LEFT you will see a Sunoco gas station.

Stay on 890 for about 6 miles. The office will be on your right. Look for the GCII logo 890 Rentals sign and flagpole out front.

Here is what the office looks like http://greatcoasters.com/design.html

I'm sure we will see everyone at PPP.

The whole "free coaster" offer us almost too good to refuse. I am already clearing some space for my coaster. I know exactly where I want to put it... I just hope it fits.

So will there be coffee? Chris, have you checked with Brent? He has the best coffee in the area.

I'm excited. I haven't seen the GCII headquarters for months.

Thanks for the directions, Dan!

For some strange reason I know exactly where it is. ;-) I REALLY look forward to this tour.

Bill,

I got Rob's sarcasm right away. Rob, we will have to meet up on Saturday and complain about how much everything sucks and how the parks should bow down to us, in-between helpings of gravy. :-D
