Possible TTD testing!

Look here and you can see that one of the trains is on the course! I am pretty sure they are testing, but they may just be placing it on the track.

Are the controls finished in the station, or the station itself? Doesn't look to me to be ready for testing.

Where? On the transfer track? I looked at the cam you have there and the one pointing at the station and I think in the station one I may have seen one on the transfer track. I didn't see anything on the track though. Maybe the sun's at a funny angle now.

haux - problem is the cams are updated every minute, so what he was seeing won't be what you see when you click on the link he provided.

Whoa, so you mean this is the fastest tallest mostest coolest dissapearing ride? NEAT! ;)

MarimbaGuy, who agrees with Moosh on this one.

Yeah, that's the problem with seeing things on the cams. I didn't really think one would be on the track yet. I imagine we'd catch the pull-through first and they wouldn't put the full train on the track for that. Wow, the pull-through is going to be cool. They may have to pull those big cranes out again!

Dude, if they put the trains on track, dont you think they would have updated photos? They're only testing computer circuts and finishing the load platform.

I'm not sure how they're going to do the pull through. How do they do pull-throughs on a normal coaster?

I don't see anything. I think if the train was on the track and was being prepared for testing the construction diary or pictures section would be updated.

All who think Mean Streak needs a match taken to it say I.

The ride won't be testing for AT LEAST 2 weeks, period.
Testing a coaster without a control panel? I'm not so sure that is going to work. PhantomLives is right, it won't happen for a few more weeks.

People said the same thing with Xcelerator once the track was all done. But no- nothing was tested until the station- and most importantly the controls are in place.

As for a pull through- they get a big crane and if its done like Xcelerator will use a 3 car train of the front-middle-back cars and do the pull through wtih that first.

Yeah thats another thing, they havent even done pull through yet, that'll take at least 2-3 days.

So many experts here on controls and PLC's...

Monty Jasper mentioned some time ago they'd begin testing some components by now, so in the broad scope of "testing," yes, they're testing. They've added fluid and gas to the motor and started moving it, they've been testing switch circuits for weeks (Jasper says this ride has more switches on it than perhaps any ride ever made), and I'm sure they'll practice moving a train around the transfers and stations as soon as they can.

Good to know- seems like its that kind of little stuff that can be the source of breakdowns and downtime later on. It would be great to see them get a handle on that before anything else.

Even though that has begun, there is still a while left before they do a literal test run of the train. Not like you can do that with radio control. ;)

If you look at the first picture posted on 3/11 you can see the control booth is on the right, that little brown building with the gray door. In Monty's last post he said the control booth was finished.
