Popular Science

Just to let you know, in the March 2003 issue of Popular Science, there is an interesting article about new roller coasters. There are computer renderings and information about Top Thrill Dragster, Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFGAd, and Euro Fighter at BonBon Land. The cover of the issue has remote-controlled submarines on it(so you can find the issue).

If Milli Vanilli fell in the woods, would someone else make a sound ?

There was just a topic about this a few days ago. (Unless it was deleted for some reason) Look around first before you post. :)

There's also a little tidbit on S&S in Popular Mechanics.

I wasn't trying to be negative, I was just telling him there was another topic already. Anyway, what is in there about S&S? I must have missed it or else just didn't read that part.

It isnt the march issue that one has air force missle defense on the cover and a really cool article about skyscrapers.
Yeah, it's a decent article on roller coasters. It has Dragster, and Superman: Ultimate Flight info. One thing that I found funny: the rendering of Dragster shows the train going over the top sideways. Talk about lateral G's! :>)

About that rendering, is Cedar Point planting trees in the middle like the picture shows, or is it just for looks?

The little article in Popular Mechanics mentions the S&S Sky Swatter. It's only about a paragraph. It says the ride will be installed at select parks this spring. Other than SFAW who else is getting one of these?

It's in the April issue. (Battle Island) There's a paragraph under the Tech Watch section, with a picture of the Sky Swatter. (p. 35)

*Edit* You beat me too it. :)

I noticed that "error" with the TTD rendering, and I also noticed that the S:UF turns after the pretzel loop looked like overbanked turns almost, extremely exaggerated from the original SUF (are they really going to be like that on the new ones?) And the Bon-Bon land rendering was of the wrong coaster I've seen renderings of. I know the manufacturer also has the rendering printed in the magazine on their website, but I'm pretty sure the one for Bon-Bon Land is an L shaped out and back.
