Pop up's

Jeff-

Is my computer on crack, or am I supposed to be getting pop up advertisements on your site. Every time I post, click on the navigate forums thing, or click the back button on my browser, I get a script error, and then some add pops up to the effect of:

"Slow internet connection detected, click here to download software to speed it up." or somthing like that.

Is this supposed to be happening, or is my computer on crack, like I suggested before?

I've had it happen too and I saw that it was loading from doubleclick.com, so I guess it's part of the ads.

Yeah, I just got a couple of them, too. Pretty annoying, but Jeff has bills to pay.

Strange - it hasn't happened to me. So how could it have anything to do with Jeff and Coasterbuzz?
Yup, I saw that too.

It happened like once to me, but hasn't for a while.

Will be at Busch Gardens Williamsburg April 27th.
If you remember, ads used to be from Burst! Media. Looks like he's changed advertising companies, and this is one of the effects.

I don't really care. If he gets more money, more power to him.

If anyone is getting pop-ups, please let me know post-haste who the advertiser is. You shouldn't be getting those under any circumstances because they piss me off and I have them disabled. It's possible that Doubleclick slipped one in and I'm not paying attention, but I haven't seen them. Again, please let me know.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen one since I last posted.

There is the address of the popup.

That's not it, that's the general address used for targeted ad serving.

The only way I can find the ad is if someone tells me the name of the advertiser.

I had the pop-up too. When I click on it, it directs me to a company called Ascentive which sells Internet software called webROCKET. Here is the link:

Here's the one I'm getting: http://www.ascentive.com/cgi-bin/click/DC211

I've gotten this pop-up the last four times I clicked on something here, over the span of the last ten minutes.
Yeah, thats the one I got too.

Thanks guys, I took out that ad extreme prejudice. It's bad enough I have to show you ads at all (remember to click on them, especially if they're from an amusement park), but pop-ups are just irritating as can be.
