Police investigate $4,000 in counterfeit bills passed at Knoebels

Local police are conducting a joint investigation after $4,000 in counterfeit money was passed at Knoebels Amusement Resort over the weekend. According to police, 40 counterfeit $100 bills were spent at concession stands and ticket booths.

Having worked in printing for many years I am used to seeing things like this. You would be SURPRISED at how many people want you to make color copies of currency, especially if it's from another country.

As far as the pens, we swore by them. I never personally encountered a fake bill, though. I think our biggest problem was bad checks and stolen credit and debit cards.

I like the commenter who thinks that Knoebels should install security cameras, "for the sake of the children." And then that real troublemaker who responded. :)
