To answer the obvious question, there will not be any aerials of the former White Water Landing site until after the project is announced. We will have ground shots, though, once the park opens.

Thanks for the pictures, aerial shots are always great.
How old are these photos really? I know it says April 6, 2006... but in one of the photos in the Demon Drop? I thought they removed that at the end of the 2005 season?
They never removed DD, just put it up for sale.

They were taken yesterday.
No.. okay. First off, "Gemini" is the one of the webmasters of Pointbuzz, along with Jeff. And they were politely asked not to take pictures of the WWL site, and it is a polite not to. Thus, its called being polite.
why would cedar point ask for no photos of the 2007 site?

We getaerial shots of great adventure all the timeand are not asked to post the ones of future projects.

Well if everyone knew what they were building do you think there would be a 600+ post about their 2007 attraction?

Like I said on PointBuzz, Cedar Point has a specific plan in place for the announcement and marketing of Project 2007 and I have no desire to derail that in any way. If showing those photos would hurt their marketing efforts, why would I do it? I'm here to work with the park, not against them.

It's no secret that a lot of work has been done on the former White Water Landing site. Aerial photos wouldn't give it away, but it's a safe bet to say they would show more than the park is ready to reveal.

Let's give them a chance to market their 2006 ride before we start the 2007 frenzy.

It's not only being polite...it's being respectful. Is your need to see the landscape around WWL so great that you'd be disrespectful. They want to make it a huge announcement when the time is right, (it's the CP way). I wouldn't plan on getting a whole lot of photos on-site either. If there's any heavy construction going on there this summer, they'll most likely raise the 8' wood fencing like they did for TTD. They announcement will be here before you know it, hang in there.

Nothing a ride on mean streak cant fix.
Anybody with 50 bucks can also charter a plane ride over Cedar Point and take pictures/video. It takes someone of higher calliber to fly over it and not distribute pictures just to ease the minds of a few and aggravate the plans the park has. I'm really surprised that we haven't seen anybody do this yet.

It's called playing along. Do you think they would invite us to photograph maXair and Thunderhawk the last two years if we were pissing them off?
"Thunderhawk" jeff you mean Skyhawk right? Or have you ben taking pictures at Geauga Lake?
He took pictures of Thunder Hawk at Geauga Lake, then flew over and took pictures of maXair.
I am a member of Cedar Fair L.P. for designing rides and I agree that people shouldn't be snooping around our sight. All that I can say about the 2007 project is that it is awesome*** This post was edited by nick1523 4/15/2006 8:50:45 PM ***

Hahahahha. Get a life.
First clue to 2007 project. It's big enough that the railroad track that already was moved will be pushed out an extra 3 ft.
