"Point Pleasant" on Fox

Is anyone watching the new TV show "Point Pleasant" on Fox? It's set in a NJ seaside town with an amusement park. The park looks familiar from other TV spots, but I can't seem to place it. Anyone know?

I have been watching the show, but have no idea what park it is. It is definately something that drawed my attention to the show!

Personally, I like the show, however, there are many others out there who think that it is badly directed and that the actors are not good. Im not expecting it to last longer than one season, however, I hope I'm wrong! Maybe we can find out what park this is.

I wondered if maybe it is actually Jenkinson's Boardwalk that is in Point Pleasant NJ. I was there a year ago and it looked very similar to the park that was there. There is probably a generic beach with an amusement park that they use to film all those scenes.
I can assure you that it's definitely NOT Jenkinson's at Point Pleasant. I live in North Jersey and a recent article in my local paper highlighted the show, making a specific point of noting that all the photography is done on the West Coast -- absolutely none on the East Coast (well, not yet at least). So if any guys on the left shore have sharp eyes, you're definitely more likely to get this one!

The track on the coaster was white with a red spine and looked like either Arrow or Vekoma. It wasn't an inverted or SLC either from what I could tell. There was also a giant ferris wheel with carriages instead of chairs.

That kinda sounds like Westcoaster (a morgan with red track and white supports) @ Pacific Park. I'm not interested in the show, though I did see the park in a quick clip on the commercial. But maybe someone near Pacific Park/Santa Monica Pier would know (moosh), since I won't be there till March.

When I saw the promos it looked like the Santa Monica Pier to me, too.

Too bad they gave away the whole plot in the first episode. We know who the girl is and what she is all about. Boo.

I have no idea about the park.

After looking at This pic, it does looke like it is the one I saw (though in the dark) on the commercial.

I also think it was in a Jessica Simpson Video (shut up, she's hot!).

Is it a fun coaster? I won't know till March:).

Considering Santa Moncia's LOCATION (near Hollywood, etc.), it would be a lot *cheaper* to use WestCoaster...

After PRevenge, I can safely say its no longer my fav Morgan coaster, LMAO...:)

Jessica Simpson, Clint....may be hot, but she's NO brighter than her sister...*together* they maybe produce 15 watts, LOL...dimmer than most nightclubs...;)

bill, who JUST flipped thru MTV long enough to see "The Newlyweds" on a fishing "yacht"...and Jessica didn't know where she could go to sunbathe...GOOD thing she has her looks, ROFL...:)

"Ummm, honey, the DECKS are all upstairs"
Nick, you have my sympathies...;)

Ah I got my colors reversed on the track, but I think you guys are right about it being the Santa Monica Pier. Thanks.

The track on Westcoaster is actually kinda purpleish in person.
Right. And Magnum is, like, orange, or something;).

Relax Folks, I'm sure John knows I'm joking.
